Bank of America Protest 8/12/2011 - St. Louis, MO

If anyone wish to close thier account,all they have to is open another account at another bank or credit union and have thier money transfer. If a bank is open Monday through Friday and you go to with-draw your money and close that account.The bank has to give your money or the bank can be sue. . Chase Bank was Nazi Symapathiers and ,Bayer Co. gave the Nazi germany experimental drugs to use on Jews.. Bank america ,I heard so much bad things.

The bank can lock their doors anytime. Its their right. To say that they are wrong to lock their own doors is absurd If that is true then it would be wrong for them to lock their doors on a Sunday, or on a holiday Go close out your accounts if you wish. But do it peacfully or they will have to lock their doors and in some cases call the police. Doing something illegal to fight for a cause is foolish and shamefull. Infringing on other peoples rights makes you worste then the one you are fighting.

Heres the deal, A bank can close and lock their doors if there seems to be a risk. this is what happend at said banks. Bank of America, and other banks can not refuse you in closing out your account. But it can lock there doors if other people, like the tellers, freedoms are at risk. People going into a bank peacfully can take care of their buisness and leave, but those who want to cause a riot or any issue which could cause harm to innocent people do not have to be let in to the property.

The Durbin amendment to the latest banking regulations capped the amount paid by business for accepting the debit card from customers..this resulted in millions in losses for the banks..so to make up for these losses the bank put the 5 dollar charge on the debit card holders. So now we are paying for the new regulations the democrats pushed through.

not sure what the situation is, legally the bank can not stop you from going and closing your account. The cops cant stop you, you money is in their property and you have every legal right to walk in and close the account...you can prosecute anyone who stops you from closing your account and take legal action, even against the cops who also stops you from getting into the bank,where u have your money and account in order to close it. Id sue them asap!!!

As a Canadian it pains me to see the working class people in the United States being preyed by banks like Bank of America. Deregulation of the banks is like letting the fox run the hen house. By the way most of manufacturing jobs that left the US did not go to China, they came to Canada. I don't know why that is? But I hope the protests help the American working class.

@avatrbr bak of america is charging every single checking account holder having a debit card a 5 dollar monthly fee....I am not sure why people protest, but all you do is close your account and not cry about it...there is tons of other banks out there who wont charge you...and if they do, u leave them to....
