This is kind of a garbage GPS, and I know because I own it. Sometimes it can't tell streets apart (it put me in the parking lot of a Sears when I wanted to go to a hotel once!), it's so slow that if you decide to take an alternate route through anywhere with many turns, it'll end up getting behind you, forcing you to stop, and worst of all it can't figure out anything related to apartments and even most houses on a street. Probably gonna get a Garmin next chance I get.

Omg. Tom Tom is the biggest piece of crap there is. It never gives us the right directions or cant ever find the address we type in. And when it does comply it leads us way off course and we end up having to backtrack or finally spot w/e building we were looking for on our own. Grrr

@Imseeingstarz1 They all do that. We have a Garmin nuvi 750 and a Magellan and they both suck. The only thing their useful for is as a guide too tell you where you are if you don't ask it too route you, and the satellite based speedometer is cool.

Actually, just called Garmin to see if they added that feature and they said "NO".

You can set a speed after which you'll get an alert, but what I needed was an audio alert when the speed indicator, that most have, is greater than the posted speed on map.

ONLY TOMTOM has this money saving feature, and NO I do not work for them; this feature PAYS for the device.

Although I do NOT mind putting pressure on these frigging corps that cave to the gov requests to keep our speeding taxes high.

When you put a memory card in the tomtom, the memory switches over from the internal memory right over to the memory card. If you want to use a memory card, you HAVE to have a map AND an application installed on it before the tomtom will even recognize it at all. The Red X on the screen when you try to use the memory card means that the memory card is blank. The memory card won't expand the memory, just force the tomtom to switch over the memory from the internal to the card.
