As a Brit looking in on this from across the pond all i can say is,this is very disturbing developments. All three candidates are a total nightmare for americans of european heritage.

Obama has clearly stated his loyalties to the blacks ...fine for election in Ghana but not the USA.

Clint has done more 4 the blacks than obama but it tells u something that when they see one of their own doing well in the polls they switch straight away. This is clearly a race thing.

1) During the 2008 Republican primary debates the 2 leading candidates at that time (Giuliani and Romney) did not show up to the African American debate because they had "previous engagements". Huckabee and Mccain did show up. Huckabee showed that he was most in touch with Black issues.

2) And as far as the Hispanic debate held by Univision in Florida, none of the Republicans showed up so they had to cancel.

3) I'm not saying that this is good or bad, but it does show where their priorities are.

Well, I am a minority. My political views conform closest to a moderate libertarian, which means I am closest to the GOP. If I were to run for office, I would consider running democrat. I know I would need the minority vote (being a minority myself), but I don't think I could find that being a GOP candidate because most minorities irrationally jump onto the democrats without seeing issues. Maybe the problem is not the issues or platform but rather the electibility of the minority candidate.

the problem is that a minority wouldn't be electible to the gop's conservative base. and the reason minorities side with democrats is because the republican party has a shitty history when it comes to minorities.

That's not completely true. That would be the case in backwards states like West Virginia and so on, but in states like California or New York, a moderate republican can be very well electable in those places if it were to gain the minority vote.

The GOP is about personal responbility and limited government. Minorities (especially blacks) love to collect their special scholarships, their job through affirmative action and their welface cheques.
