We - Indians & Pakistanis - MUST guard our independence BUT at the same time learn to COLLABORATE (business, entertainment, trade, education, travel, innovation, agriculture etc) & NOT confront/mistrust each other (nor let any 3rd country create further misunderstandings, since we South Asians are pure of heart & emotional and get swayed very easily to form quick judgments).

I agree to Mr.Inam Aziz view point and would like to add that people of subcontinent need to be cohessive and cooperative with each other.Forget about politicians and capitalists as their moto is to make money while exploiting people.Humanity is the biggest relegion and crux of all problems is inequality between people regarding socio ecomic iuues.well done!beautiful message, need to be propagated all over.

My parents migrated to india at the time of Partition and started their life all over facing a lot of hardships, and yet they never ever taught us to hate either Pakistan or Muslims.Readind senseless hateful dialouges between indians and Pakistanis really pains me.We must get over this.Families do split (just as india and pakistan did)but the love and bonds remain

In my opinion Independence Day ought to be celebrated with a minute's silence at the very outset of the day, as a respect to those who laid their lives for freedom. Austerity must be adhered to because, as I said, millions died so that their generations may live free. Enthusiasm and honest efforts ought to be shown to promote peace, harmony and solving problems of large number of people that do not even enjoy the basics of life

A philosophical pictorial presentation. Many lessons to learn. I believe we are not free either physically, mentally or spiritually. Our hearts have more spite than love in them. So what are we going to do about it? Simply hold meetings, deliver speeches, arrange functions and sing national/independence songs, as we have done in the past?? Or are we going to do something concrete from this day onwards?
