get used to riding switch and doing frontiside and backside 180's on flat ground super well. Includinding doing switch fs and bs 180's. theres many ways to do it, but your going to end up needing a soft flex board. Flex your tail and nose as much as you can and try to go for as far as you can for a few times. after that, twist your shoulders and use more edge and try spinning. Easyest if you hop a 180 and land on your nose because you already have the inertia to rotate.

exactly, or instead of hopping for the 180 simply revert and throw your weight to your nose to start the rotation; it's a bit easier

If that's the case I guess you should trade in your fiberglass and ptex cores for plywood; and get rid of those steel edges, OH and you know what they didn't have bindings early on so throw those out to cause that would be like "cheating". It's simply an evolution of snowboarding or a regurgitation of the past really since r-cambers were done in the 80's.

its actually easier switch. Due to the fact that your body wants to spin on its own when you are switch. Start by trying a switch 180 also known as a cab. When you land just lean way back onto your tail and try to hold that position. Just keep doing it all the time man...ALL THE TIME BRO!

Awesome moves! I tried some of those and found it real hard to stay up and if I lean too far, it really goes up on the tail and I lose control. I have a Lib-Tech Dark Series and the manufacturer said it was a softer freestyle board. You seem to know a bit about boards so you think I need another board for these tricks?

Na bro you should be good with the lib tech. Try grabbing your nose with your front hand. Depending if your reg or goofy. At a moderate speed, while with the back hand, drag it on the ground between your feet, to start the spin and hold that position as long as possible. Its bit of an old school butter, but still dope. Its a swell way to learn ;)

damnit, i just got back from jaypeak vermont. and my board is not flexxible enough to do this. I have an Atomic board, and its so lame. the binding drill holes are made so there is more room between your front foot and the lip, and less room between your back foot and the lip. is it the same for you? your feet look equally centered. I need a new board that can really flex.

sounds like u have a freeride board made to ride pow, freestyle boards are twin tipped so it equal through and through, plus their made softer cause their not meant for speed but just for more manuvering. So look for a board that is twin tipped

Aye, i heard that you rock an anthem. I just purchased a ride prophet (around same feel) and was wonderin if you have to use a lotta muscles to pull off the nose and tail presses or if you have lean back farther 'cause of the stiffness.
