  • I had surgery, and mine was not successful. I've had it since I was 11 (29 years old now). I had my surgery at age 25, it didn't work a bit. If anything, I'm in more pain than where I started.

  • Hello all,

I think stretching and reducing of muscle dysbalances, deep frictions and, the most important, exccentric training is the best way to get healed. of this injury. excentric training: 1 leg squats, but just go down on one leg and go up on both. hope I could help

  • Please answer this ASAP:

I have Jumper's knee and have been out from all training for 7 weeks. I begun with my regular football, volleyball and strenght. I just feel pain during warm-up. All the sites I've been reading on says: 6 months rehab, do not workout too much bla. bla bla. I do not know what to do :S

-Should I take it more easy during workout?

    -Just do regular?

    -Get rehab?!

  • @PfcViksdalen See the video "taping for jumpers Knee"

Also invest in a foam roller. Get a trainer or physiotherapist to show you how to "roll out" your leg muscles, hips, glutes, and calves to ensure tension isn't left on the knee following activity. Alignment most likely the biggest cause of pain in tendinitis. I've had it bad in one leg and mild in the other for 7 years. A year ago I couldn't squat, today I dead 315lbs, and powerlift as part of my crossfit training. Research!!!

  • i have just been diagnosed with a severe case of jumpers knee on both of my knees but i have had it for 2 yrs now and all the docs say that it will recover blah blah and now its been 2 and half yrs!! i honestly just want to have surgeory but becas im 15 the docs are saying wait till i finish growing but im in so much pain and my knee is actually grinding and you can feel it too! i hate jumpers knee!!

  • Surgery for jumpers knee is not always 100% effective, however many people do find relief following surgery

  • dnt do it i had surgey for this it is not affective and there is a 8 month recovery time

  • thanks!! ur a good guy

  • THANKS i just couldnt let anyone make the same mistake i made.

  • @vicentemassey93 that's weird because I'm having the surgery in just over a week and my doctor said I will be out for 3 months. Maybe it just depends on age. I'm 22....

  • how bad would jumpers knee have too be for surgery? mine has been plagueing me for a while everytime it goes it comes back when i start training i dont know if its because im taking it too fast or i need surgery
