  • I never expecto such a stupid behavior from rednecks in the video :O

  • reminds me some stoning video from the middle-east, you just cannot believe that this are all rational, civilized people

if you want act like a tire-barrier thats fine with me, just dont blow steam when the eventual happens

crashes just come with this kind of sport

  • Call me a pussy but i for one even take cation when i walk on the sidewalk but thats because i dont wanna end up like these idiots. relate it to people hunting as a sport, wold you run into their shooting range to get a good look, oviosly not but a professional shooting a gun is alot more controlled then a professional driver flying over loose gravel and jumps...

  • LOL THEY GOT OWNED!! fkn idiots have no idea

  • Lame

  • R.I.P.

  • @bribrison It was a murder! That driver never ment to harm those spectators. He is probably tromatized from the accident!

  • catholics sons

  • still can’t' believe the crap ppl are saying on here, I lost my fiancé and his best friend in that accident, I guess you literally need to watch someone you love die in front of you while u are holding their hand, and then maybe you will understand. It’s not the victims fault and It’s not the drivers fault, who also was a friend of ours and still is. If you ppl need to blame somebody then go after the company that held the race because they did not follow through with anything they promised...

  • Dont attack the races eithor because i race offroad motorcycles and this incident is pretty much killing offroad racing because people dont listen to the officials when they say to stay a certian amount of feet away they cant put people to enforce this in hundreds of miles of the race the spectators need to listen im not blaming you fiance or anyone it was an accident it happens but dont attack the company because your hurting all our rights to race

  • The people were standing way, way to close... that's why the first driver was honking at them.

  • living the high life- never slow down. hurdle the weak, trample the dead. you all ride the short bus- quit your moaning you limp wristed soft headed tits! fack off ya bloody pikeys!!

  • Anyone know what the murderer looks like yet? The murderer obviously has no respect for the 8 people he killed. Idiot still has his race truck on the cover of his facebook. Bet you this idiot can't wait to work on his truck, fix it up, wash the decapitated brains off his hood, and get back on the track.

For those who says its not his fault, screw off, its 50/50. They were too close, and he should have had common sense not to race with people standing close.

  • Avery body off the track Yells ! its a little late mister sadly to say. You know what off road racing most likely will be a crime becouse of incomptaince like this eight human lives lost why ? you act like childern you get treated like childern SAFETY SAFTEY always frist all the time.

  • How are all these people allowed to stand so close to these trucks? I don't blame the driver, 'cause accidents happen. Maybe in the future they'll build some fences, better yet ban the stupid sport altogether.

  • the promoters should have had better crowd control because people are going to do what they do

  • First off id like to say R.I.P to the victims of this tragic crash my condolences to their families and all who were injured. Racing out there in the middle of noowhere there are hundreds of variables that you as a driver can only anticipate and mostly attempt to control. Given that vehicles can go over 100 mph this is an EXTREMELY unsafe enviroment for spectators to be and they should be ATLEAST 100 feet away. This tragedy was absolutely preventable! Just imagine how the racers involved feel..

  • @BHarervideo I'm sure most of them feel bad, but would you drive in a race like that if you saw people that close???

  • being a 15 year old and racing desert my whole life id love to say that these people are IDIOTS yeah they all want too see the trucks and racing! But from driving a race car in the desert for 2 years now i know that this guy is hert inside and he wont race again my opinion..half of these spectators are mostly drunk...Come on guys he didnt ruin those spectators lives they runied his yes i feel bad for these people that died R.I.P...but also i feel bad for this desert racer...DKA-#89

  • what a bunch of dumbasses they atleast should have a wall between people and cars.

  • They knew it was a Very Risky Dangerous Sports, and that's what people want to see

  • That was a sad and misfortunate incident. You know what's needed? A spectator safety buffer zone along the length of the race trail. But that's not easy to do in open desert. So the primary safety marshalling has to happen between spectators' ears i.e. personal safety. Race stewards should proactively keep spectators back, they should have whistles to warn of coming vehicles like they do in WRC. But race stewards can only do so much, they can't be everywhere.

  • Im black and I cant read

  • Well If they end the races I could always go back to killing the evil turtles that live in the desert. Cause its the turtles fault on why there can not be fences put up.

  • @imakevwsgofast By the way I like the turtles they know to stay away from the track. A link to the rules on the MDR web site

    mdrracing. com /links /spectator-information

  • stuff like this should be outlawed. i'm glad sheriff joe doesnt stand for this kind of crap.

  • @smrio Oh the Dumb a** POS that has everyone wearing pink underwear.. I like that guy and I bet if he were to meet you he would shoot you. You unamerican POS

  • I bet some commercial will use this as some tact for bad penzoil.

  • The truck tired of all those beer farts

  • @smrio I don't drink so go back to your little cave you unamerican POS

  • Watch out! The Guy who organized this event may run for Ca state gov.

  • amazing, maybe Obama will come down and say something about this. I hope he doesnt open his mouth and openly support this kind of crap

  • @smrio You really need to find a hobby. Cause this is America and if you don't like what other people do and it does not affect you then let them be free. You have one of those I drive 55 stickers. I love those stickers, it give my truck something to aim for.

  • These people should be in college, instead their out partying and putting themselves in danger.

  • we need serious education in our schools so our kids dont grow up and throw away their lives like this.

  • someone should of been like, do it again tough again, i forgot, your dead. Someone get me another beer and get someone else ! the show must go on

  • bunch of cheap asses drinking cheap beer

  • these guys sucked, thats why people died

  • im glad their dead, just a bunch of boring idiots trying to act cool

  • @F18DarkOWL I should have been there but had to work. My boss hates racing and drives a Geo Metro

  • they're all dumb fucks. thats why CA state is fucked up.

  • @smrio so what who cares what some inbreder from hickville has to say so go back to bed with your cousin.

  • why do they even had this kind of races in the first place and cmon the why dont they just races in a place where they have fences to protect the croud

  • @saveferriss86 Because it is a offroad race. Don't come in here with your fence crap. People need to read the rules before they go to the races. 100 ft from the course and no spectating after a jump. The poor people got themselves killed. The only people to blame is the ones hurt and dead. Maybe the people that were missed can learn from this and tell others the basic safety rules. People need to remember rules keep you safe and when rules are broken people die. No fence would have stopped this.

  • @imakevwsgofast either way this races are retarted and i bet a fence would of at least stopped the car from killing 8 people or maybe they would of just get hurt or something

and idk anything about the rules, races so dont try to teach me something that i dont care about

  • really raw... not

  • The lack of regulatios its what makes offroad racing interesting and fun!.......this was a really tragic accident but it was nothing more than....................an accident.!

the fckn f@66ots who post shit against the RACES ,DONT LIKE OFFROAD RACING....just stay in the safety of your lame ass home...you are safe there stup1d lame morons!

See ya @ the Desert Challenge or the Baja1000 in Los Cabos!!! ...............LONG LIVE OFFROAD RACING!!

  • I feel terrible for everyone involved... the people who were killed, the man driving the truck, the friends and family... all those who witnessed it. It is just so sad.

  • It's nobody's fault but the people that are in the way! Blame the driver or the crowed? Maybe both..

  • @BURNERUGK Your right that is why there can never be fences

  • Epic Fail?

  • People it's a RACE. Driver did NOTHING WRONG!

You stand to close to the fire and your get burned. NOW whos in the wrong!!! GET IT and GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!

  • brodozer

  • This what happens when people get too close to the action......Those people remind me of the people that get too close to animals on WILDLIFE reserves...you get too close to fire..you will get burned...or even die...it's just a fact.

  • Bunch of drunk idiots!

  • Shit happens!!

  • This was a tragic event, and my condolenced to the families. What would have prevented such a high death toll would have been to keep the spectators farthur from the vehicle path. I think at least 50 feet or 15 meters would have been appropriate. I do not see it as the driver's fault as much as accidents like this WILL eventually happen in dirt racing. It is all himdsight but that is my two cent's worth.

  • @Albacorewing The rules for years have stated 100 ft from the track. 50 ft would have been good. Look at the video the truck was only 20 ft from the track after it crashed. If they had followed the rules they would not be dead.

  • Many Darwin awards sadly handed out that day...

  • I don't know if this is true.... What I heard is trucker hit mother and inflant up the air with dust of debris. The child died on the scene with her mom. Driver turnout be family of theirs. Now, the drivers can cry painfully.... later, evil giggling and looking date another woman.

  • @codexdecipher

You heard? Anyone can hear anything..that don't make it true.

And what is the driver suppose to do now? Commit Suicide?

It was everyone's else fault for standing too freaking close..even if it was a mother with a child(not blaming the child).

It's like standing too close to a Bonfire...People wanna get all close to the HOT, Popping Fire because it's exciting..soon enough the wind with change direction & a few people will catch on fire & some may die.

    Same thing in the video.

  • @codexdecipher what are u smokin?

  • @davetileguy .... Associated Press said something about a child on scene of the accident. Why would I be smokin?

    I know how to read.

  • @codexdecipher (Now, the drivers can cry painfully.... later, evil giggling and looking date another woman.) pls explain

  • @davetileguy It's another copycat cheating husband. This usually happen infamous crimes, cruise ship, etc... Same old shit over and over again.

  • I don't know if this is factual. But I heard that moments after the wreck, spectators picked up rocks and began to assault the driver. Instead of focusing on the injured and trying to help them these dumb drunk f***s decided they'd rather fight instead. If the term " there's a time and a place" ever applied to anythig it's this situation. The stupidity, overall, that led to this tragic event is mindblowing!!

  • @nosajj12345 you don't KNOW!!! Just like you said you don't know so keep your thoughts to yourself...

    No rocks were thrown...

  • @turbo2texas And you do?? Actually there were law enforcement on site as the wreck happened. They testifiied to escorting the driver out of the area because people were physically assaulting him. Yes, I do know

  • @nosajj12345 Testified??? What are you rambleing about??? You see that on some lame ass tv news channel or what? LE was not officially on the scene, there were off duty first responders on the scene AKA FANS So when you can actually talk to someone who was actually there and not rely on some lame ass sensationalized TV show then you can come back here and comment, Until then go back to your hole in the ground loser...

  • @turbo2texas So you actually witnessed what transpired after the crash. You were there??

  • @nosajj12345 Funny how after several days not one news org has retracted their story that law enforcement had to escort the driver out of the area due to potential fan violence. Not even the driver has come foward to deny his initial claim. Why should I believe credible news outlets, after all, they only have access to LE blotters and logs as well as testimony. Ya, I should just believe your conjecture instead. LOL....you f*****g idiot!! ...your hole is waiting..asshole!

  • Ya pretty sad. But these people knew. They acted like they were in Mexico sitting at Ojos Negros. Thats why "Rockpile" spot is so particulary popular. RIP to all involved. Sloppy did nothing wrong!

  • you stupid fuck. all you americans are so stupid to act like they did on this accident.

ojos negros mother fucker? come here to ojos negros and see why they call rockpile you fuck.

  • Comment removed

  • wow too bad people are dead but come on..... trucks racing on off road terrain, reaching speeds up to 100mph, people standing that close?....... Duh no surprise somebody is gonna get hurt......i heard they threw rocks at the driver who crashed.... was not his fault don't stand so close you dumb fucks R.I.P to those who died. THose people have no one to blame but themselves.

  • @PopExpo The driver and his friend should not have been throwing rocks at a certain person I know a few months ago either.

  • @PopExpo your understanding about the driving getting rocks thrown at him is as ignorant as your entire comment. STFU and keep it to yourself, no rocks were thrown, your an idiot, my friends who are no longer with me are not dumb fucks, you FUCK

  • R.I.P

  • It's far worse in Mexico. When I raced down there the local spectators were directly on the race course or they would dig ditches across the course to cause a crash. They also fill little baggies with their own shit and throw it at the race trucks passing by. I do not feel sorry for the idiot spectators.

  • i heard on the news that they started throwing rocks at the driver how fucking stupid are these people its a damn race! even if the event staff didnt put up barriers its called common sence if your that stupid to not see the potential danger then just stay the fuck home and lock yourself in the house now people are gonna file lawsuits and ruin the sport for everyone else because of spectator stupidity what is this world coming to!!!

  • falto un poco de responsabilidad para el conductor del truck, pero si estas en una competencia no debes ponerte tan cerca de la pista.. espero y el piloto y copiloto esten bien, y mis condolencias a todas las familias afectadas.

  • @sincerebro86 No habla, Dumb-ass!

  • darwin at its best. who the fuck stands that close to this type of event. just another reason we should be testing parents decision makeing before allowing them to have kids.

  • @ger1mon Yeah a TEST for such would be a good idea, over in the UK I know of mothers who have 3 children @ just 17 years old.. a test prior to being allowed even a child would of probably saved her being a single parent of 3... and the sick thing is all her kids suffer from her smoking habbit which has been passed onto them as a form of asthma

  • Poor kid(s) who were killed or injuried. damn you fuckin' parent(s) or guardian(s) for bringing them along. People on the mainland---I don't know---- they're smart, but they lack common sense and less when beer is involved. Maybe that'll help drown out the pain when they get hit.

  • lol all those guys are drinking Beer, well maybe its good they take them self out of the gene pool lol then their in for a Darwin Award so BOYs yuk that beer up and keep watching that crap

  • I wouldn't choose to drive in a race where people are standing on the edge of the racing surface , Im with you on that but there's no way they didn't notice these trucks wizzing by at 80 mph and maybe thought it good idea to stand back a little ? I guess not unfortunitly . I didn't no that it was an unsanctioned event , even still I dont no of any motorsport where the driver is given the responsibility for the spectators saftey ? The whole thing sucks for anyone involved anyway you look at it .

  • @ifab2holeshot search for rally group B

they were banned because of the crowd behaviour... blame the organization not the drivers...

group b was made of rally cars nearly to 1000 hp, 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds in dirt terrain, they were monsters and that hapenned 20 years ago...

  • No blame to the driver , these kind of crash happens all the time in rally racing all over the world . Clearly your playing with your life standing that close , like a human guard rail . People will be demanding answers and there is only one , back the _____ up !

  • @ifab2holeshot Get real. The driver does lack judgement. Anyone who drives in dust around people & children no matter what state of intoxication they are in or not is STUPPPPID and IS at fault. Just because an organizer told the federal land bureau they'd be going 15mph doesn't make any of it true or smart. Let the people vote on this and you'll see how fast these get "unsanctioned". If someone sanctioned jumping off a bridge...

  • @anotheraka so let me get this right ur saying all the other drivers that went past those ppl are stupid ya ok no its the ppl standing right by or hell even in the video ON THE TRACK or running across it if ur that dum to stand that close to a truck that problay weighs more than 1000+ pounds then i say it ur fault yes barriers should have been set up but yet ppl have to still choose to stand behind those barriers

  • @MultiThatoneguy PRECISELY. Are you that stupid? Would you drive past a bunch of people at those speeds? Drunk people? There's a reason they were REQUIRED to drive 15mph or LESS in the congested areas w/people! Any human with compassion can get you don't plow through a dust bowl with people that close. SO YES GET IT RIGHT. HOLY CRAP THE STUPIDITY!! If the odds that people would be on the track are there, don't drive on it!! Stupid "sanctioned" event. Do you inherently know RIGHT FROM WRONG?

  • @anotheraka I would cause its a fucHing race course and people need to learn to follow the rules and stand back. The drivers were not at fault. You didn't even know what desert racing was in tell you woke up sunday and watched the news. So what do you care??

  • @anotheraka so wait even though the trucks were there first and the trucks are in a RACE and the event is all about this RACE and the fact of the matter is that its a RACE ur saying its the drivers fault for hitting the jump the wrong way and not being able to control the truck in MID AIR but yet its his fault and yet all those ppl are putting their LIVES on the line when standing there next to or on the track ur saying its the driver fault even when the ppl who run the event say AT UR OWN RISK

  • @MultiThatoneguy I have more sense to EVER drive around people like that for any reason what so ever. I don't care who "sanctions" it.

  • @anotheraka The only stupid person is you to bad you were not there.

  • I have no pity what so ever for them standing on the track like that.. NONE.. You have to be ... idk.. the dumbest mother fukr out there to not see the high risk involved. Being that damn close to vehicles going 80+ over jumps.

  • It's funny how all these fat drunken white spectators are listening to rap music.

  • @postcardsky WHITE MALE spectators and lots of Mexican men too along with other races of MEN. Don't lump white women into your racist comment when this is a sexist male machismo thing and not a racial thing.

  • @anotheraka What the hell are you talking about? Please go fuck yourself.

  • People need it, people get it. Sorry for being so harsch, but it's the truth.

  • every person knows, that htere is a dangerous place, so why do u go there so close ? so if there was no child involved-----own responsibility

  • @BruceWi238 A child was sent to the hospital.

  • @anotheraka

then the parents must take responsibility for the child in front of the law

  • @BruceWi238 Yeah. What me and my kids were standing on the side of the freeway and they got hit? Would the driver or would I be at fault. I would cause was the one that put them there. What kid says dad were standing to close.

  • Dumb asses shouldn't stand 2 feet from speeding cars going by. This is what happens !

  • what a moronic accident, the victims should have known the risk involved in standing so close to the track

  • @mpeoples123 @mpeoples123 WHITE MEN and MEXICAN MEN and MEN of all races. It is a male thing. Don't go for the race card when the sexism card will do.

  • apbound you are SICK.

  • dumb rednecks. only stupid white people would do this.

  • I am white and I would agree with this

  • anyone got the link two better video of crash i wanna see sum bodies flying

  • I am sure there will be some better footage soon................

  • Please remember as we greive the passing of these Fans of the Sport, that they were doing something they ENJOYED doing! They were not at work, or on the Highway going to work or some other menial task when they passed on to the Pearly Gates! So Let's CELEBRATE the victims lifes and Be joyous that they were Doing What they wanted to do!!!

  • @turbo2texas

That statement has been beat to death - It's a statement that I would expect from Orwells 1984. Doing what they enjoyed and being killed are two different things. If any of them had the option of staying home with the family or getting killed - They would have all stayed home. Based on the footage hanging out in that desert is in the same category with menial tasks.

People used the same spin when Kalitta & Niver were killed.

  • @Denniss7420 When it's your time to go it's your time to go...

You have never been to the desert, so go back to your menial life!!!

  • @turbo2texas That is very true.. It least they were doing what they loved..

  • i bet this race is cancelled next year

  • It is always a shock when things like this happen. There are always comments about the intelligence and indirectly about the worth of the lives of participants and spectators. That is about as tragic as the accident itself.

As long as everybody is aware of the risks involved it is on them to make the call. Adrenaline is a powerful "drug" and the pursuit of the rush can be perilous.

RIP and good luck to the wounded (physically, mentally, and emotionally).

  • Just an FYI, this section normally has snow fencing provided by courtesy of volunteers (not from MDR). Whether or not this fencing would have helped this year is unknown. But let me say that MDR never provided physical spectator safety at this location. RIP

  • My thoughts and prayers are with the people who passed away, the people injured, and their families, as well as the driver and co-driver of the truck..

  • It is rare that accidents like this happens. And things like this happen in every other sport too. It was very tragic unfortunately but that's the risk we take when we put ourselves out there like that. As stupid as it is yo be that close, that's the thrill ofthe sport. We go out there to support our drivers and we are at fault if something happens. It is NOT the drivers fault at all. I agree 100% with GAZAs comments.. Danieldaring: have some freakin respect and get a life.

  • I do not know why people have no common sense,, Why would you stand that close to the track!!! The BLM rules are pits 125ft. from track, and spectators 150ft. from track.. I feel for the family's of those who died, and were hurt.. Not only do they need support but so does the Drive and c/o Driver of the truck.. this has to be very hard on them as well..

  • Total lack of safety!

  • Idiots.

  • The average I.Q. and level of common sense of these people is -2. Bunch of 3yr olds.

  • hmm standing 3 feet away from a speeding truck which kicks up dust so those behind dont have 100% visibility. who would have thunkit that a turnk might lose control and run over people. i for one am 0% shocked

  • Ignorance is evident when people don't know what they are talking about. The guy with the beer is saying to "wave down" the oncoming cars to warn them there was an accident. The sanction body that puts on this race posts rules for spectators. It's up to the spectators to take care of themselves.

  • @lauriebee54 Ironically he was a sobering voice in a crowd of drunks. The situation is what it is, but he was one to get people to 1)slow down the oncoming race trucks and 2) keep people off the track. Quite responsible if you ask me.

  • A Human -Being, something which you obviously are not. My Uncle and close friends have been involved with off road racing for nearly 30 years. This is one of the most profound sports where everybody is quick to help another. No one deserved to get hit by that truck. However you do deserve a good beat down from some of the famiy members of the one who perished. Get a life and have some respect.

  • I guarantee it's more money than you have. And then you poke fun of someone who is trying to make sure no one else gets injured. What the hell is wrong with you?! You must be one morally disturbed person. It doesn't matter if someone is white trash, a redneck, or any other derogative name you can conjure up in that feeble mind of yours. I see a human-being trying to save others.

  • Daniel Daring- You might not want to open your mouth up before obtaining facts. Only an ignorant individual (such as yourself apparently,) would make degrading comments about an accident that cost people their lives. Families just lost thier loved ones and you sit back and judge people from a 54 sec. clip you see on YouTube. As far your white trash comment goes - Do you have any idea about how much money it costs to not only build, but to be able to maintain an off-road vehicle?

  • My husband has been racing since the early 70's and unfortunately these are the hazzards of OFF-ROAD racing. Racing is fun but everyone wants to be up close and personal to watch the cars and trucks come by or to get that once in a lifetime picture of a vehicle coming off a jump. To you danieldaring its sad to think that you have to bad mouth some man holding a beer in his hand trying to slow down the upcoming racers because of a horrific accident that just happened.

  • For you critics kow it all, dont critisize the off road ATV sport to street racing like lots of thye news reports are doing. By the way I am not white trash or even white like the Lop daniel daring says below. 8 people including woman just lost their lives and posibly more may pass . This this sport is danderous but it is not any more dangerous then some of you do such as rock climbing and falling, sky diving and chute partially or not opening, skying hiting trees etc.

  • Darwin Awards for this one.

  • I smell a change in the rules coming.

  • all white trash-look at the fat loser with the beer screaming wave them down-to bad the truck never hit him

  • Years and years of races, years and years of accidents and STILL nobody can regulate the crouds of people standing ON the track.

  • @Mbeehive People need to regulate themselves.
