yeah, aquaman has some nice stories in comics. But lets face it: at least my generation grew up with a stoopid aquaman cartoon that anihilated his image. and this song is brilliant because it captures excatly what meant for us to see that while we're expecting batmans and thors and spidermen

Its funny, but it's awkward to have the Marvel super-heroes mixed with the DC ones Those super-heroes (Marvel) were not supposed to exist in Aquaman's universe.

This was actually carefully considered when I wrote it. I decided it would be most friendly to a general audience (though less friendly to us pedantic comic geeks) if I included both universes and could then choose characters that people are most familiar with. I did decide to separate them per verse and I did decide to give Marvel 2.
