Oh my Lord, Bro. You are rocking my whole world right now. The endless heavy crunch of your midnight black ibanez is chewing on my ears!!! I think you should call that one riff mayonnaise!!! That would be a cool name, I think... or maybe ballsnuts pavillion. Those chops just keep echoing in my balls. Just rock on.
Hei, man, well... they don't make this anymore, but you could get it for 400-450$ on ebay, second hand! Or get an RG1527, similar, actual, korean made version... 7-800$ new...
@Ozznize Any Ibanez product which does not say 'Prestige' on it is not made in Japan (this rule only applies after the year 2003~). This rule, obviously, does not apply to re-issues. To anyone doubting the quality of the prestige line, don't trust the impression you get from a guitar that has a factory (ie. average) setup in a music store. Also, they almost never come with decent pickups and if they are, almost everyone replaces the pickups.
damn man... that's the way it always seems to go... i just picked up a 7620 actually... it's in the shop gettin' some heavy duty work done but i have an evo7 and blaze neck in there... haven't heard it but im expecting good things....
Well, best of luck, my friend! You sure as hell did the best 7string option! ;) Jap Ibanez is a rare thing these days, you know they stopped making them there...
Anyway, play it night and day! And love it, cause it's a great guitar! ;)
I think the Prestige RG1527 IS Japanese, don't worry... Actually, I think ALL Prestiges are Japanese... but you wanna know what I think? I couldn't find that EXTRAORDINARY difference so as to justify the price change.... The Indonesian ones aren't bad quality... Ibanez as a company wouldn't allow it
honestly i've played some of the prestige models that i didn't like as much as some of the lower end models... my 7420 was the shit and as far as i know they're pretty much the same as a 7620 w a different trem... but now that i'm getting another one i went w/ the 7620... i mean why not upgrade this time ya know? haha
yeah, of course! What I learned is that generally, the real stuff that makes the difference is the quality of the electronics that they use... Japanese models might be a little more cautious with the paint job and stuff, but the wood they use is generally ALMOST the same as the Indonesian ones, the main difference is the quality of the pickups and the pots and stuff like that... When I buy my first 7 string, I think I'm gonna go with an RG7321
Hey, i'd really advise you to try it out first. I'd go for a nice Schecter Omen7 or Damien7 for that money... I tryed out an rg7321 yesterday, and i've played them before... really sloppy job on the neck and finish and you'll have to go for new pickups, because the stocs are...........
There is a monstrous difference between Japs and Korean/Chinese ibanez guitars...
will do, I'll take that into consideration then! I really like the RG7321 with the flame maple top, I saw one that was pretty neat.... I guess I could consider buying a used 7420 or something too =S Thing is, I live in Argentina, and I just had my two guitars stolen, a Fender Strat (USA) and a Jackson RR3 (jap), and I'm not so sure as to buy an Omen 7 or an Omen Extreme 6, they are the same price, and I need a guitar, URGENTLY =P Lol, and I fear the 26.5" scale compared to the RG's 25.5"
i can get one of these with a emg 81-7 for 375 european euros , shall i do it ?

Inkawgneegrow 2 years ago
Heya, yes, they're the stock DiMarzio Blaze7's... Nothing changed or added! :)
Saddly I sold the guitar (money issues), cause now I have a much better amp and setup and could have posted a way better demo...
