We are not a dying breed. Already servicemembers are protesting this policy as well as current members of Congress. There are millions of people who are against this repeal. Members of Congress are looking into repealing the repeal. mark my words. a majority of servicemembers do not support the repeal.

Airpower317x; you may be working with less American homosexuals (although there are quite a few), but you are definitely working with homosexual military personnel of other nations. Most 'first world' countries have no issue with sexual orientation among their ranks. Incidentally, the U.S. military have suffered a lot of talent loss (especially in linguistics) over this meaningless bigotry. I am certain LGBT will be assimilated and provided with our due rights as the older generation die out.

USAF had guaranteed me a position as a linguist in 1997; but even though I had scored highest in the state for that month on the constructed language exam and already held a undergrudate degree in 2 languages, I could not obtain the high security clearance pass due to my sexual orientation. I have since moved to another country, am now seeking permanent residency in this country, and have not have looked back to the U.S. (which claims to be so liberal yet has such discriminating policy).

I respect your opinion, but statements of unnecessary hate toward gays is the root of many social problems today in the U.S. Many Western countries do not have a problem with gays serving their country. I hardly care about what is on your body; real homosexual love is not just the physical. If you still are in the military, watch out because I'm sure you're surrounded by more gay men that you'd like to know. The point of this video is about the meaningless loss of really good & needed talent.

PS-You are right that I feel lucky, but not because I should feel in danger to be another other American guys (that ignorant discard of gays is really meaningless and just shows poorly of one's understanding of the world). I am very lucky to have escaped from such bigoted enclaves in the US "land of the free" and to have found a country where, even though this country is supposedly not as "progressive" as the US, I can live happily and basically without having to lie about "having a girlfriend".
