I sang this at this amazing art camp I went to where I got to meet Kay Cole from a chorus line. She was impressed. I adore this song. It brings back some amazing memories from camp. The best week of my life. It's hard to get anywhere In Southwest Virginia. This song opened up quite a bit of doors for me. As i've sung it in several auditions. I think your voice is amazing, and you can do the riffs really well.......but the character Carrie would not riff like crazy.

If you're doing it as yourself to show off your voice, then by all means, riff away! You sound great!

But if you wanted to act as if you were playing the role of Carrie for this one song, the riffing is very inappropriate.

But nevertheless...GREAT job!

actually they had a reading of rhe revival cast of carrie with tons of famous broadway stars like sutton foster as the gym teacher, marin mazzie as carrie's mom, molly ranson as carrie and jennifer damiano as Sue.

there was a 29 hour equity reading of it noveber 20th. This should be interesting to see if these stars can bring in an audience, something it clearly failed to do before.

But sutton is great. Let's hope this role doesn't add to the list of crap she's been doing recently.

Carrie was a flop mainly because it was a mess.lol.The sets,costumes and most of the songs were were terrible.I liked the 3 songs that I heard but I'm told that its mostly in the second act when the show goes downhill.The musical recieved nasty reviews and the few people who saw it said it was terrible.One critic said "the only thing frightining about the show was that it had a second act." :) There is a rumor going around that the show is currently being reworked and will be revived soon.

I was drawing a connection between them and Natalie because she has a very powerful yet very healthy belt technique, meaning her voice will last her for years and years.
