Oh and now the "glowing thing", I have no idea if you're talking about hellfire or the simple counter hit charger, if it's the counter hit charger, all you have to do, is press all the buttons at the same time (1,2,3,4) or in noob terms, square, triangle, x, circle, all at the same time, if it's hellfire, you can see it in the command list, it's performed by d,d/b,b,F+2 or in noob terms, down, downback, back, forward (HOLD) + Triangle.

Great combos, but you won't see them in a real fight, which give people a wrong impression about Tekken 5 like I had when I was a new player, in real fights you'll see more basic combos like d/f+2 launcher into f+2,1,f+2,1,b+1,3+4,2 and something in those lines that are the easier to perform with quick reactions and pack the most punch know what i'm saying? nonetheless great combos.

how do you activate that glowing energy thing at 0:33? me and my friends are playing this game on ps2 a lot lately and my favourite guy is steve. but all i do is i move and than i punch the other guy when he misses me. can someone tell me combination of buttons to do that glowing thing please

@cvz217 'Right Uppercut' followed by 'Jab' (while moving forward press square) into 'Ducking Body Blow to Left Hook' (x2 - perform this trick TWICE), it's VERY simple, 6 hits, 45 damage, and then you can practice more from there, and it has even more damage if you start with 'Sky High', also if the opponent hits the wall, do a 'Cyclone Punch' and stalk from there, probably with a 'Uppercut' punisher into 'Spitfire Combo' (Start the 'Flicker Stance' with a symple Back + Square). Hope I helped.

They're not just Tekken ranks as UnleashedRageCyber says - they're ranks in karate, 9th kyu being a white belt and 1st dan being black belt - after first dan you no longer advance with belts but you do get 2nd dan, 3rd dan, etc.

Though any ranks after that are just in Tekken :P

It is done from Steve's Sway[b+3 or b+4] Stance..

When in the Sway Stance, press 1+2[The Throw] then immediately tap forward..

If you dont tap forward.. Steve changes position from left to right and vicce versa..

In short..

b+3, 1+2~f..

Check legend in TekkenZaibatsu for annotations.. ^_^

Steve Fox has a "parry/counter" I don't know how to do it, where he blocks an incoming punch and counters. With Paul phoenix it is back+ 1+3 to give you an example, can't figure out steves, it seems almost random at times.

@TheOyabun Actually its the other way around. Tap the jab button first and THEN tap forward immediately after. f~2 results in a normal right jab. 2~f is parry.

Rest is same, press 1 for counter punch after the parry.

nah now i see that PSP tekken players are muach better than PS2... On PS2 i easily got to tekken lrd on my stee, on PSP not and steve is disempowered in PSP... But still you combos arent much better than aerial combos from PSP you should play PSP xP

Its sucks that barely any of these combos can be done on the PS3 version. Steve has such a disadvantage using his hands 95% of the time, they shouldn't have stripped these juggles out.

What's so special about them? They seem pretty average to me - just a load of popup attacks, and without even any resistance.

And before you try saying ''Let's see you do it then'' - I've completed Mortal Kombat Deception, a game that requires you to do a ridiculous number of popup attacks right from the start of the game.

Every move in Tekken is counted in frames per second, these combos are are quite hard to execute because these moves are really tight frames which have little room for error. If a combo consists of 30 frames then you have to execute exactly to that number and trust me the human eye and reflex is sometimes not enough. these combos are almost impossible to execute 1/10 tries. Give it a go & youll get my drift :)
