Stephanie Meyer has changed the world by getting moms and teens to read a poorly written story about a centuries old dude who sparkles in the sunlight and loves the Mary-Sue of all Mary-Sues-- Bella. I don't like criticizing other writers because I know it's not easy to write a story, but I honestly think Twilight is too over hyped and overrated for this much praise.

If I had a young daughter, I would discourage her from reading 'Twilight' because it glorifies abusive relationships (it's OK as long as the guy is hot and hurts you out of "love"), and suggests that girls will be adored for having no personality, being selfish, needing a man to want her, acting like a useless imbecile, whining, and giving up her identity to be with a guy. Just F---ing great.

Ok. Maybe the whole world's brains have disappeared, but mine haven't. I'm 13 years old, female, and I despise Twilight. My English teacher made us read it for the class novel. I had to read it out. And every time there was a mistake, a grammatical error, or something plain stupid, I pointed it out. Shame few people who I know actually know what a good book is, e.g Stephen King, J.K Rowling. I read fan fictions that are better than TwiTripe.

I never realized it before, but there's a disturbing amount of similarities between Smeyer and Annie Wilkes from Stephen King's Misery. Both are morbidly obese, are obsessed with Victorian period romance, they over-identify with a fictional character who's a self-centered cocktease, have an immature attitude on swearing (Meyer herself admits to giggling everytime someone says "seminal fluid") and both have caused countless people unbearable suffering.

Stephenie got her Twilight content from a demon. It is not uncommon for famous artists to get their material from the spirit world. She said she got it from a dream... later she said Edward showed wanted to kill her in her dream because she got the character of Edward wrong. I guess the demon wasn't too happy about that.
In my opinion writing books is not about creating a world that should have been, it's about creating something good inside of the readers to help and inspire them to make THEIR world a better place. After I read Twilight I felt that I had not learned anything at all and I felt really empty at that moment.

Here's a fact, however: Twilight is a shitty saga written by a mediocre writer. It's a series loaded with clichés, purple prose, and grammatical errors. Meyer rapes the thesaurus, frequently misusing words in an attempt to sound intelligent. She misuses commas, for Christ's sake. Her syntax and sentence structure? Egregious, to say the least.

Not true, actually. Many lousy writers are bestsellers. Dan Brown, for example, author of "The Da Vinci Code" can't write to save his life. Yet, he's sold over 80 million books! Did I mention that two of his novels have been turned into movies? Combined, the movies have grossed over a billion dollars at the box office. However, this doesn't change the cold, hard fact that Dan Brown, like Stephenie Meyer, is a lousy writer who got lucky.

Ok. Maybe the whole world's brains have disappeared, but mine haven't. I'm 13 years old, female, and I despise Twilight. My English teacher made us read it for the class novel. I had to read it out. And every time there was a mistake, a grammatical error, or something plain stupid, I pointed it out. Shame few people who I know actually know what a good book is, e.g Stephen King, J.K Rowling. Did I mention that two of his novels have been turned into movies? Combined, the movies have grossed over a billion dollars at the box office. ok so i really don't understand how anyone can dislike her. She's not self-absorbed at all. She seems like a really sweet person and it's a great thing that she loves her own books so much because if she didn't love the story or characters so much then the books would not have turned out as great as they did. She is like my hero, i hope to write a book someday that interests people as much as hers do.

Where are these guys that are working harder? I haven't met even one. My boyfriend certainly doesn't work harder because of them and I'm a huge fan of the series.
I wish it was making men work harder, since most men don't try at all in the majority of their relationships and still complain profusely about how much they have to sacrifice anyway.

Oh, one more thing. My boyfriend is not a perfect guy, but the point I was trying to make was that my boyfriend doesn't feel intimidated by Edward and shouldn't feel that way, so saying that there's all this pressure on guys is untrue.
And even if it is true, I wish more guys would be encouraged to try. Most guys aren't as good of boyfriends as mine is because they don't try, I've been with those guys, but my boyfriend is different.

I really like the twilight books alot and stephenie isnt bad at all she has a very creative mind if it wasnt for her i wouldnt of been reading but now i really like reading wait to go stephenie (Y)
