Janet admitted to a nose job when she was young, and she had it touched up in 1989 just before the Rhythm Nation tour.
They've pretty much all had Botox.
I agree though that a lot of it is just ageing - look at Catherine Zeta Jones, the first photo is probably from the mid-80s when she was in her teens or early 20s, since then she's probably just lost weight and her features have developed. Was surprised at Scarlett Johannson though!!

This is really stupid.. Most of these people just lost their baby fat.. Angelina and Avril Lavigne did NOT have plastic surgery. They grew into their faces. Or it's just from different angles. Jesus

The nose does not have any fat...so even if you lose weight, your nose stays the same. That's why so many fat people still have thin, pointy noses, their noses don't get fat...lol

alot of those people just grew up. avril, nicolette, keira doesnt look any different, halle berry is smiling so less so her nose looks less spread, jessica simpson is smiling less so her leps arent stretched out more. but ashlee. yes.

9 times out of 10 they look the same. Most of the differences are age and photoshopping for magazines. Some of them are different, though. Cool vid anyways and great song!

Btw, the photograph of Michael Jackson at 03:16 with the red shirt on is a definite photoshop. There are about ten other photos from that same day and his nose was still small and pointy, but not like that and un-bandaged.

The reason these people have plastic surgery is because of low self esteem and the constant pressure to look 'perfect' or rather what is perceived by modern society as perfection. I think it's quite sad that people invest so much time, in dehumanizing others because of the way they look. If only some of you were in the public eye...

what's sad is not the problems of these millionaires, but that the public eye gazes so longingly at people who don't even have the natural faces or bodies they were born with anymore. they've dehumanized themselves by becoming cartoon characters for the money everyone throws at them.

Maybe if Hollywood and the media weren't so fixated with a celebrity's image, these celebrities wouldn't have such low self-esteems in the first place. All these cheap magazines and tabloids are dedicated to commenting on the tiniest of details of a celebrities face, you would feel paranoid if people did the same of you.

it's not hollywood and the media that are fixated - it is the people who watch tv, who frequent websites about celebrities, the people who buy the magazines. it's not just celebrities that are scrutinized. ok, they are to an extreme, but they do it willingly, in order to make millions of dollars. the price they pay.

You've actually just restated my point, so it's no tangent. Celebrities are under pressure to look as perfect as possible. Exactly. But from whom? The industry itself, because image sells and not talent, and the American public, who as you and I have now said, are "fixated" on image. It's a decline that most people have willingly participated in there's no patience for talent (or flaws) anymore. It's a materialistic world and the celebrities have sold their image knowingly for success.

No, you did go off on a tanget. The media have shifted the focus from talent to image, not celebrities. Celebrities don't have the ability to control like the press and the paps do. I'm not saying everybodies crap, but if your ugly and your talented your gonna be doing gigs in the ghetto all your life. But if your what the media perceives to be as a hott blonde, your suddenly the next Elizabeth Taylor.

Those who act, give interviews, host or attend the events sponsored by or attended by the press, etc. are the stuff of "the media." Celebrity is not a side effect of acting, but a job in itself now. Refuse to conform? Do theatre, not Hollywood. But if you sign contracts knowing your fame could (will) cause people to follow you all day, you submit yourself to pressure for your advantage. There's no class of "celebrities" who are forced to change. It a business, and must be seen as such.
