if you want a more advanced description:

remove screws on the hole gun and paint the parts separately, this means no masking tape and more secure paint-job.

Secondly, when spraying, don't hold the can spraying over one point for any longer then about 1 second, just do a short strafe over the gun/parts(whilst spraying) and release the can, then return in the opposite direction holding down the spray again...

continue until paint is how you want it.

@ExtremeLonely360 If you know your gun and know how to put it back together of course, remove the shell of it and keep the pistol grips stable, use painters tape on the grip and paint the top shell, (i call it a shell) paint the bottom while the exposed area is covered up with maybe plastic and paint at your will.

Prep your area

Strip gun as much as possible

Mask of areas you do not want to paint

Apply 2 coats of paint.

Krylon Fusion is great and comes in a wide variety of colors including Camo colors, Silver and matte black.

If you want to spray it properly:

.Strip down the gun as much as possible, tape over any parts you can't remove

.Spray the gun with one or two coat of primer

.Apply lots of thin coats of the colour you want it to be

.Spray on a semi-gloss or matt varnish (lights coats)

.Re-assemble and remove tape

@LoneWhiteWolf13 You can saw off the orange tip you know. And it is the same gun. If you noticed, the orange tip was missing when he started painting it. Also, if you look at the handle, you can see that the clip release isn't fully painted, because he had covered it slightly in some of the masking tape. That, is also shown in the video. You need to be more observant next time.

Don't try this with electric or gas pistols unless you value them as models only. Half of the time the spray paint will leak inside the weapon and jam the firing mechanism. If your looking for realistic-looking weapons then tightly cover the miscoloured areas of your pistol with electrical tape or whatever colour tape you require, and detail the gun with small dabs from a permanent marker if your striving for perfection. This way the tape can be removed if the gun requires maintinence.
