  • bullshit malakiaaaaa

  • The sound here is pretty good. With a good strong vocalist, this would sound great. Similarities to the Dutch metal band....ANGEL DUST.

  • (Riding Zepplin)

Pressure Zone Microphones are pretty good for recording drums if you don't want to Mic each drum, my friend. But, They can be hard to find. Simply called PZM's.

  • would be alot better without any keyboards imo

  • What was your method for recording drums? I'm trying to record some stuff with some friends and everything sounds good but the drums. I liked the balance of your drum track and am just curious as to how I could somehow mimic its sound. Thanks In advance :)

  • I like this music by the way and thrasher1991 should work in the industry being that all knowing but needs to remember the man did say it was a home recording so lets see your better.

  • AAAAHHHHH!!!!! the frigon labeling like this idiot bhagyashree666 the stupid guy"melodic symphonic core"hahaha what a dope, that's about description, next thing you know especially with the people labeling and giving names as stupid as djent etc.etc, will be calling music by it's rudimentary chord or note like that's an awesome A major band or G chord bachet de djent, were labeling music based on it's primary sound, that's retarded.

  • not jazz stuff, but still very good material !!

  • Another good find! Sure, the mix could be better but is not at all bad...just a bit 'thin' and on the high end, not as beefy as it should be. Good structuring and good combo of instruments though.

  • the sound of the guitar is not so good! and the quality lvel of themixing project could be better!

  • jajaj no le veo el jazz a ese "death metal". es solo metal prog instrumental.

  • It's very great. You should make more songs because your genre is unique!

  • This is sweet, extremely unconventional. Keep it up.

  • If you like jazz death check out Saxophone Face Fuck in our profile

  • bla bla

  • this isn't jazz, at all…..

  • sick, those pitched harmonics are arousing me..

  • Peeeeej oplodi me!!! :D

  • i would love to hear this in a movie or even better a videogame!

imagine this music in a game like vampire bloodlines:The Masquerade,it would kick ass!

  • Fusion of industrial black grind with chick corea......=Bananacore

  • Where the fuck is this guys fame and fortune he deserves

  • That's rocks.

  • muy bueno pero creo que es solo metal¿

  • I love this bro! Am also composing music, and i get a lot of criticism, so keep on doing your thing!

  • Sick!

  • jazz or not jazz, this is a good song! find a singer.

  • Hey dudes, keep trying, very cool band, very cool sound. Hope to see more material!

  • fail

  • there is NO JAZZ at all in there... a prog death jazz metal band is more like "cynic"

  • @herecomesjossy Yeah Metal with Jazz is more like Megadeth with Chris poland or weird Watchtower fusion stuff..

  • @masterofmetallica09 Atheist. 'Nuff Said.

  • yeah i agree with above. nevertheless its good music. EXP

  • i didn't heared any music here..btw we were talking about Jazz ???? wtf

  • Yeah I have agree with a lot of the people on here, I didn't hear much jazz or even much prog. I think the only band I know of that really worked legitimate jazz into progressive extreme metal is Panzerballet

  • this is the shit but it should be more jazz

  • I love you man!

  • Why can't you just call it what it is? It's basically Black Metal. Pretty sick though!

  • nope, just chuck testa in a jam seudoprog

  • This sounds really great. You should sample your recordings at a higher bit rate so i can hear what your tone is actually like.

Either way great job! Just because you can't find members for a full band doesn't mean you can't become successful. Keep trying, you will find a way. It may not be the way you expected.

    Keep climbing.

  • no jazz elements..i was expecting something like torniquet

you guys are good but your stuff sounds a lot like melodic symphonic core

  • damn good

  • progressive death jazz metal?? cant fucking wait

  • What the fuck ?

  • MAKE MORE MUSIC I LOVE THIS SONG

  • Cool.

  • i dont hear any jazz in this ???

  • @vegadomis32988 the melodies in the guitars are jazz influenced. It's kinda hard to tell.

  • I wouldn't really call this Progressive or Jazz-y, but it's definitely good, and I liked it very much. If anything it's symphonic death metal.

  • Awesome song, but if I put it loud it makes my ears hurt, could be that there's too much treble IMO.

    good work tho

  • i don't hear a bass

  • i don't hear a bass

  • i like it

  • Interesting, but I think it need more work in the guitar (specially the whammy-bar riff), I agree with The NuncFluens, It doesnt contain a bit of jazz. Keep making music my friend.

  • this is really good.

  • so, where is the jazz?

  • @TheNuncFluens is on Cynic :D

  • @xChaud :D

  • Good job!

  • Death Jazz Metal? I say Death JIZZ Metal.

  • Nice solo, it lacks a lot of jazz feeling in the entire song until the piano part, but its cool anyway, don't like the intro

  • Sick Shit Bro. Very Inspiring. If I do some songs like this mind if I video post 1?

  • Sounds a little like the french band Golem... they're olderstuff like off Dreamweaver.

  • I doesn't matter genre. I enjoy the garage-play feel. Great job on this piece.

  • Really good stuff, The guitars totally shred.

  • de jazz, nada pero buena musica iwal

  • i don't really hear any obvious "jazz" in it...it does have a lot of scales which are jazz-related, but that's all...

  • @Trawlling Its about the tempo changes and odd time signatures, a common theme in "progressive" or "technical" metal and the term "jazz" is often used with it too.

  • @JCanipe tempo changes and odd time signatures aren't present only in jazz... for example, listen to behemoth, it has lots of tempo changes and odd time signatures, but it doesn't have anything in common with jazz.

  • the wait is devastating.

  • it's math metal

  • there's no jazz in this song

  • tök zsír 5let =) sok sikert a folytatáshoz!

  • Wow this is really good ! hope you could upload it with a better sound

  • that weird pinch harmonic riff is pretty fuckin awesome

  • "Progressive Death Jazz Metal"...really??!! These sub-genre classifications have gone way too far

  • @dje2671 does it really matters? call it whatever you want. i am musician, not musical analyst

  • @DeathMetalBeaver That's exactly what he's criticizing you for, the fact that you are like a musical analyst. If you were just a musician then leave out "Progressive Death Jazz Metal" from the title.

  • @squiresuzuki no he shouldn't... i recently heard of this combination ( jazz + death) and I was curious about how it sounds, so i googled it, and got here. I wouldn't have arrived here if he didn't have the genre in the title.

  • @Trawlling Alright, so I looked up jazz death metal. I came across the bands Atheist and Cynic. Those bands as well as this piece really don't have anything to do with jazz at all (including the video on youtube Introduction to "Jazz" Metal). I've taken advanced jazz theory classes and I have no idea why jazz is in the title. Can someone please enlighten me? Comparing "Freddie Freeloader" by Miles Davis and "I Deny" by Atheist I see no similarities.

  • @squiresuzuki Yeah I dont get it eather.

  • @squiresuzuki You are right. This is much better!

  • @squiresuzuki Jazz is not a musical style, people need to learn that first...

  • @stefxdoom How is jazz not a style?

  • @dje2671 Well technically you couldn't call this death metal could you? Or Jazz? Fucking grow up. You are jumping on a band wagon here! Metal itself is a sub genre you dick. So is black/death/grind/etc. They're there for a reason. If your little brain can't remember that many words then I suggest you put your head in the oven and save the world from another useless fuck. Why care about how many there are? You are actually muff cabbage.

  • @curioustongue Do you kiss your mother with that "curiostongue"? People like you shouldn't be allowed in adult discussions like this one. All you know how to do is insult me without being able to make a valid point. Who has the small brain now? Quindi state zitto e famme na pompa, cojone.

  • @dje2671 yup

  • @dje2671 just say fusion metal!!!

  • @Tylerclaymorgan Sorry, but "fusion metal" doesnt exist.

  • @xChaud neither does "progressive death jazz metal"

  • @xChaud Whata hell are u talkin bout bud? How do you think ALL styles of metal come about??? I remember talking to Overkill's Rat Skates a few years ago and he said "Metal styles are not created, they are an evolution and music evolves through fusion and experimentation" Or some shit like that. For all styles of metal that are around the turning point of being different from other bands is precisely that my friend: FUSION.

  • @dje2671 Haven't you heard of hybrid genres before?

  • @dje2671 It went too far almost 20 years ago when the best album ever was released.

  • @dje2671

Rofl! True man! I fear to see the day when a band will have ALL the fucking genres in the world...!! Wonder how long that genre will be name-wise...:D :D :D

  • @SparkShredder My band has that, we just call ourselves sandwichcore. LOL!

  • @RevPeterBecause So what is Sandwichcore consisted of? Let's see... (Ham)mer ons?

  • @UandMeRacoons Ham-erons, cheese-y riffs ,layers of noise and sound like mustard and mayo, beefy jazz bass lines and a smorgasbord of other ingredients! Even 8bits of lettuce!

  • @UandMeRacoons The Norwegian band Shining? That is proper Jazz and Metal ....

  • @SparkShredder I think classical music fits that description... considering all genres are derived from classical music. If you listen to modern classical music then you might be able to pick out some electric guitars and synths, too.

  • @Zadamanim

When I think of modern classical music with guitars and synths...i am reminded of Rhapsody, Fairyland, Stratovarius and early COB....:)

  • @SparkShredder You know, as in classical we have happy compositions, there are also some sinister and dark ones, those compositions are what bands like this, obscura or necrophagist represent.

  • this was a link right from an Obscura video, and well deserved to be. I feel inspired mate, good job.

  • pretty damn cool, I actually dig the raw production, makes it feel more homely like you are watching the band , nice work

  • For something so underground, you got 71,458 likes (mine included). Congrats on that. I love the feel of this tune.

  • Kimo nan Saki wannawanna porket vonnabongo "Jazz" !

  • Ich kam her wegen dem Wort "Jazz"!

  • I came here just because of the word ''jazz''.

  • Interesting, would love to hear it with a better production, better guitar sound and more careful playing however lose the "jazz" from the description, it is misleading. Just metal should do, everyone loves metal, don't they?

  • es el tiempo y el corte el que indica el jazz ....

  • @passion4drums This song is fine as a metal song but the harmonies and chord progressions are largely diatonic and follow none of the patterns present in the jazz idiom. Any key modulations that are present in this song are in no way reminiscent of jazz modulations.

  • don't sue me but i just had to download your song and put it into my ipod. great work mate!

  • @LacrimaLuciferi no wories, i'll upload the mp3 soon so you'll have a bit better sound

  • @DeathMetalBeaver i would be much obliged!

  • i like it

  • I don't get the jazz part.

  • I love it, keep this up.

  • This has nothing to do with jazz XD

  • makes me kinda sad, I probably won't hear more music like this ;/

  • you have it all panned to the left, other than that, it sounds pretty cool :D

  • Really good, keep that style, it's definitively a new step of advant-gardism sound.

  • Really nice! Like it!

  • Where's the jazz?

  • mmmm i ndont like the poor sound of the ezdrummer its only the mix rack of the mixer but the music itsso amazing

  • @adammedangel do you know what jazz even is?

  • @passion4drums You aren't supposed to know what it is.

  • @Bebopopotamus then if that was true, which it's not, anything could be jazz. and one thing's for sure. how do you know what it is then? how is this NOT jazz when you aren't supposed to know what jazz is? you're retarded to the full extent i'm guessing.

  • @passion4drums Who's to say everything isn't jazz? Jazz is the most influential style in american music. Why do you get so caught up in genre anyway. It ultimately doesn't matter what you call it. It's all music. Calm yourself. I didn't say I knew what it was either, did I?

  • @Bebopopotamus look at your "this comment has received too many negative votes" comment... you want me to calm? this is the internet. if you want anybody to calm down just by saying it, you're stupid. you said "you aren't supposed to know what it is". that's straight up idiot right there... now you're saying everything is jazz but apparently this is too gay to be jazz... you're definitely the one getting caught up in genre. don't listen if you don't like.

  • @passion4drums What are you talking about?

  • @Bebopopotamus wow.... good reading skills man. keep working on it.

  • @passion4drums You as well. If you could read, you'd know I wasn't the one who left that first comment. Nice job.

  • @Bebopopotamus sure, but you're still the idiot who claims your not supposed to know what a genre of music is right? besides, "what are you talking about?" was what i was referring to. i guess i make mistakes? big deal right? i guess so. what are you a nazi or something? i guess anything you can think of to make me look stupid works out. especially when you just drift out of the conversation like that. nice job.

  • @passion4drums You completely missed the point of what I first said, and now you're defensive. This is why I don't like 16 year olds.

  • @Bebopopotamus whatever then grandpa!

  • @passion4drums Haha!! You got completely schooled!

  • @CaptainCocaine yup. from somebody who claims that nobody in the world knows what jazz is.

  • @passion4drums Oh yea. That. You see there's this new thing that's all the rage on the internet recently. It's called sarcasm. I guess you haven't heard of it yet.

  • @CaptainCocaine see now, how can that whole argument be sarcasm? he's defending his statement the entire time you know. but i guess, you wouldn't be able to see that. i mean how would you even know if he's being sarcastic? it's the internet...

  • @passion4drums No he's not. He's whole argument was that labelling a genre didn't matter, and debating petty insignificancies was a waste of time. He also said that you missed the entire point of his original comment, which is apparent by your previous reply.

  • Bravo dečki. :D

  • Time change + piano = Jazz?

  • OMG MOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • Please make some more songs!!! I CANT STOP LISTENING TO THIS, ive been looping it over and over for hours lol

  • Jeebus chris this is good

  • inTROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! LOL

  • This is dark wave metal not jazz. very good though. Nice heart beat intro.

  • Did anything come of this? I want to hear more.

  • the guitar sounds like a dying animal

  • tune up the guitars, i mean, that may just be me saying that because i play in "power metal tuning" but it gives a lot more clarity, and i wish you lived here, cus i would totally join haha

  • Hardly sounds jazzy to me.

  • Great job! Some parts remind me of Gojira.

  • 2:00 song starts here

  • When does the song actually start?

  • ¡¡¡¡excelente tema!!!!! Felicitaciones

  • this is interesting this is the third band i've heard that really takes in jazz with the metal. the other two are cynic and gordian knot, both of which i love.

  • @charvinaldo Listen to Exivious, got cynic members They call their genre it fusionmetal haha.

  • The intro needs to be longer

  • @JakeKowal lmao..

  • it's exp and sounds really homemade nothing to do with jazz but i like it cause you guys managed to create some really new sounds in metal music!!!

  • how about "triples" for the title...

  • Jazz is far more than a particular style. Swing, BeBop, Dixeland are endemic styles. to the genre.

Jazz is an Art Form...an indigenous American Art Form.

  • its fucking amazing music respect!!!!

  • This is awesome man

  • good job man! keep it up like this!

  • could you send me this song

  • this is boring put zak wylde to sleep yawn and i'm stoned and its still boring

  • cut the intro.. a lot

  • Badass as fuck.

  • Way to pull a Holy Diver and make the intro way to long

    lol just kidding, sounds great

  • @ThanatosBeMyGuide I just heard the song like 10 seconds and then moved the thingy to like 3:12 to hear the good stuff...

  • @ThanatosBeMyGuide And now you osund like you've never heard Holy Diver... Fail.

  • Love your bends. Can you play like this on stage? I'm trying to put together a metal band. I am a composer and singer.

  • I would love to have an mp3 of this track.

  • Amazing, favoriting.

  • Excellent song, I would love to play drums in a project like this!

  • this is really good!! you guys should turn professional, send this as a demo to a record label or something. the only problem i have with the song is that the intro riff (2:10) sounds like some random guy on the street hitting random notes on the guitar to sound all evil, having weird choice of notes. But then again, the more I listen to that part it doesn't sound very strange anymore.

  • I could listen to this for countless time just because of the genius odd pinched notes in the guitar riff!

    Respect.
