these are both 996 gt2s which ARE the 2nd generation gt2. 993 had a gt2 variant.
the penalty for this error will be extensive. i demand this man crate up his gt2 and ship it to me! it is the only way to appease the frowning porsche gods...

It is not said that they're second generation. Thea are both mark I version. ( MY 01 ), There was also a mark II version of 996 GT2 (MY 04) with more power ( 483 HP )

yes but that change occurred in 2002. this is a race between the earlier version (01) and a later version (02) so i doubt he was referring to model cycle refreshing
