I remember that I went to so this movie with a friend who had just "come out of the closet" as they say as I did earlier. For 25 it was a bit late, but still. And it was touching, set in a poor quarter of town with convincing characters. He was moved and so was I. And yes especially in these parts people may still have problems with gays, but they fought it. That's the main theme, that people can stand up for themselves how difficult it may be. And that doesn't go for gays only.
I don't mind what gays do as long as they aren't seducing straight men like a lot of them have done. Not saying all but a lot have. My aunt was married for twenty five years with her man and he kissed a guy once and left her with her children for his new male lover. I mean that's fucked up and they gays who pretend to be straight and marry women and cheat on them with other guys.
I wish the movie had come out when I was younger. I went throught fillings like this in College. The first time I saw the movie I loved it. I missed what could have been a great reltionship with someone I was in love with and I think he was in love with me. We both were alone no matter who we were with and we found each other. What it could have been. The love and emotions seem real, not just acting.
