The tyre pressures looked a bit high, what were you running? Also a good set of detroit autolockers (trutracs on the front) would have helped to save the tyres....
this sort of terrain cuts your tyres to shreds, the knobely bits on the sides get sliced off, thats why i dont do on this sort of stuff, i only go in mud!
Yeah, but normally they are good for cutting through the mud down to firm ground beneath. But it was super dry this day. I later fitted some 33x12.50/15 Grizzley claws.
WAAAY! yeah i had lost the power steering earlyer in the say, made negotiating the rocks very tricky. Letting the tyre pressures down would have got me up a lot easyer but it makes driving home a ball ache.

yeah i know what you mean, but then if you go in the mud all the time, you get water & crap in your axles, gearbox etc,
lets face it, if your driving hard off road, somethings gonna give!

HansGodOfExotics 11 months ago
@HansGodOfExotics mud is better, i have a mud terrain spare but i dont really want to be paying £90 per tyre just to say ive been over a few rocks!!
tzrmike 11 months ago
@tzrmike yeah you would need 40 diffrent tyres with you every time you went out to get the best one but thats thousands of dollars we dont have.

@tzrmike That is a nice LR tho.
