  • Charlize's comments is an example of how anti-Americanism is a mental disorder at best...ugly fascism at its worst.

  • Chalize, you are RUDE!!! That is a blatant insult to all Americans saying they do not read newspapers like you do. Thats why they sell so many! Stop complaining about Politics & put some of the money you've made here to good use, thats real POLITICS! Not discussing problems, but solving them! I DARE YA to spend some of your generously earned cash here to HELP those in Katrina or anywhere here in this country that are needy from Hurricanes, etc!!! Put your money where your mouth is "Bigmouth"!

  • I love smart powerful women.

Hey Charlize if you read this you are amazingly intelligent,

    I dig your style.

  • Jeez, where did she learn english? I didn't know she wasn't a native english speaker...Her english is really good. I thought she was canadian or something lol

  • I don't really know what she means when she says Ämericans have been leading a really comfortable life"most people wake up at 4 am daily just 2 beat traffic and get 2 work.

  • Maybe she thinks America is a democracy with a rule of law, a society that runs fairly well and certain standards after all.

  • Charlize Theron is a very intelligent woman. She is an extraordinary actor---and for those who don't know how to distinguish great artists---one of the hallmarks of great artists is intelligence---and to be intelligent one should be analytical and involved in human behavior---the political, the psychological, the religious, the social, the economic and the practical and the imaginative. And there is no doubt in my mind that Charlize Theron is all of the above.

  • I think were at the point in this country that it is much more important that people speak out, right or wrong, than continue to remain silent while a police state slowly takes root. Celebrities should be judged on the merits of what they say, not on whether they dared to speak their mind, which is a mindset that is anathema to a free society. The corporate/CFR media has put a virtual blackout on any rational discussion of the most important issues, so open discussion can only be positive.

  • "People need to know what is REALLY going on.."

Hell Yeah! There are so many people who are uninformed.

  • Charlize has every right to express her political views. She is absolutely right. The media in the U.S. is so biased. Really, REALLy important stuff like the illegal doings of the Bush Administration is extremely underreported. It's really sad and pathetic.

  • they should make her president who wouldn't agree with her?

  • They can't because she wasn't born in America - one of the reasons Swarzeneger will never be President. It's kind of a shame, considering the only people truly "native" to this country are Native American Indians. Everyone else is the product of immigration, either present day or past.

  • man thats a bit harsh. Everyone has a right to their opinion, and people just happen to listen to famous people's opinions.

  • Here's a message for you too. As long as they have an opinion about politics, whether you agree with it or not, that's already good. The fact that she has an opinion on such an important topic to EVERYONE as politics is should deserve your respect.

If you don't give a fuck about politics, it's up to you. But don't tell the others to follow your example just because they're intelligent enough to care about it.

  • "History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people." - MLK Jr. People of power should speak and spark thought. Too many people rely on the media for information. Too many people don't care. Too many people do not think about things of importance. Thank god someone does, and what a horrible tragedy that you would try to silence someone who is brave enough to care.

  • just because you have a high profile job doesnt mean you cant be interesting and intriqued by politics. would u tell a secretary or shop keeper to 'shut the fuck up about politics' its the same thing, they are allowed their opinion and views and if you think all people should shut up about politics and not discuss things thats when governments and politians get away with doing things they shouldnt and things that harm their countries but help themselves. Your a fucking idiot.

  • well said! she is right!

  • she is right...
