ok, so the purse looks great, colour and everything (at least on camera), so maybe most of us would think you were being really silly, or seeking attention or what not, BUT (and yeah, it's a big one) a a chanel purse is a big investment, it's timeless and it is quite expensive, let's face it! so it's a good thing you exchanged it for one you truly love. beautiful purses are meant to be loved and cherished :)
the pink does get dirty, but the one I have is more than 11 years old because it was from my late grandmother, but, I still use it because its from her, but you can have it repolish at the boutique, they will do it for free, they did for me, but it took more than 6 weeks to get it back, i thought something happened..... :-(
Did you end up keeping it? That's why I only want caviar, because for me a Chanel is a big investment and as gorgeous as the lambskin is---even when you see the regualr black lambskin Chanels at the boutiques they all have scratches just from people touching them.

@silvara28 That's not true. You can find good, reliable stores online including eBay, Malleries, and Ann's Fabulous Finds. You just have to know how to look for an authentic Chanel and that requires some research and observation. The Purse Forum is a good place to join if anyone is looking to buy items from brands like Chanel, LV, BV, Celine, Balenciaga, Burberry, etc. People there are experts. They know more than almost all sales associates in stores.

If I were to go the Chanel and pick out any bag, I would get black with gold hardware. Why black? Because it goes with everything imaginable. That's my opinion. I understand pink is nice & girly but the basics seem to be timeless. Were you going for a fuchsia? Perhaps you should try a nice shiny patent pink.
could you just be suffering buyer's remorse temporarily? It does look quite gorgeous on your video! You probably won't regret keeping it. It's happened to me with my LVs and always have been glad I kept it.
I have the pink lambskin maxi with ruthenium HW. I love it. I am a lambskin lover, I have 5 Chanel lambskin flaps, rest are patent and caviar, dont be scared of lambskin. I know you got the beige jumbo. The pink lambskin in this video is not the structured pink lambskinthat I have. Yes you do have to treat and baby them more, but in my mind it is worth it. I love them!
lambskin is horrible, I had a lambskin coat in highschool and it scuffed way to easy. And the purse is probably like a dusty rose pink in your eyes. It looks nice on camera though! Saw your other vid and the Almond is verry pretty.

I can see what your saying in the cam. Your lam skin is gonna get really soft and kinda saggy my mom has the shopper in lam skin and its all creased now. I think you need to goto the store and buy one to make sure you are getting a brand new bag. I also feel that you are to lady like to have a pink bag i dont feel like its you at all. nowadays theres professional colourwash services for designer bags. yu could touch up discoloured corners or even colour the whole bag to its original colour. yu could carry the pink bag with ease now

You should spend that kind of money on something that you absolutely adore so swap it for another Chanel jumbo flap in a different shade or maybe get the Chanel Chevron patent pink flap - STUNNING in real life! I completely agree with lauryngo!! :) if you are planning to use the bag as an everyday piece, the pink will show a lot of dirt. Also, I know from personal experience when I don't abosolutely LOVE something I rarely use it, so getting a different colour and in the leather material as opposed to the lambskin, you will be sure to get great use out of it. For a bag that expensive, you should be 100% happy with it and want to wear it everyday... definitely exchange it for the tan or even black. Pale pink would be too hard to keep clean anyways.... like if it rubbed against dark jeans... yikes!!! Hope that helps :)
And if you're worried about color transferring into your bag, light lambskin is so easy to get dirty and hard to remove..where as caviar is much durable, not easily can get dirty, easier to clean. There are lot of cleaning products for leather..get one, and you're good to go!
You are definitely having second thoughts so everytime you look at it your gonna think it looks grey/blue and wish you had exchanged it for the other. I'm the exact same way when I get something and think "I like it but I don't like this about it but maybe I could live with it", if that makes sense. You should be 100% happy with what you get, no doubts! Love your videos btw!
I own 2 jumbo, one in light beige and the other in red, both caviar. Also I have classic black lambskin flap. From my own experience, lambskin is divine to touch, looks a tad bit better than caviar, but unfortunately its so darn easy to scratch and nothing can rlly repair! I always have to worry bout getting it scratched. so Id say return it and get a caviar one! You wont regret, i promise!
I think if you're not 100% in love with it you need to return it because you're just going to be frustrated forever with it and probably regret not returning it. Plus I think the almond color is beautiful so go for it!
i have a lambskin chanel and it's over 10 years old. very durable and still feels the same way it felt from the first day. i do get worried, it does scratch easily but i do not wear it on a daily basis and no scratches are visible. i think you should return it since you're not satisfied with the filmy color, u will always have it in the back of ur head. the almond color + gold hardware would be more versatile since you can use it for all seasons and you can wear it with a lot of outfits!
I think if you don't LOVE it then return it. For the price of the bag it's something that you will want to use and love for years and years. Get something you are so excited about and in love with. I don't think the color is terrible BUT if it's not the color you saw before when you tried it then get something else.

I think the bag is absolutely gorgeous, but that is alot of money to be unsure about it. You should love it every time you look at it! I have a lambskin purse (tho not a Chanel) and it scratches pretty easily, so keep that in mind. Good luck with your decision!

If you aren't completely happy with it, then return it. When you are spending that much on a bag it needs to be one that you are absolutely in love with. If you aren't completely happy then you won't enjoy wearing it, and you will resent it.
Personally I love the color, but I think you should return it. Anytime I add a new bag to the collection It really has to take my breath away. When you finally got your package and opened up the box you should have been squealing with joy. Any other reaction means your not 100% happy so it should definitely go back. I know how you feel girly! I've always loved the powder pink bag by Chanel but unfortunately if it was not a caviar skin it will not hold up and the reason it has that "tint" to it is because it had been in the dust bag and the black from the dust bag has transferred onto the bag, and it will only get worse! Exchange it!!!

Where did u order it from? Go for Caviar. I have both Lamb and Caviar. I have a light grey in Lamb skin and its not dirty, maybe because its GREY! DUH!. And I have a black one in Caviar, and it is way more practical than the lamb skin! :D

Hey Alex :) Even if i thought the bag was PERFECT is too much money to be unsure. Do not keep such and expensive bag without loving it. Really do not! I would return it for something you will love. I am getting a Caviar Maxi in Red or Black with Silver hardware soon. I saw the Caviar Maxi in Black on Gold hardware and did not buy it because it was not exactly what i want it. i have a lambskin black balenciaga giant city and i love it! the leather is so soft and lovely and its gotten softer over time...but as much as i love light color bags i wear a lot of dark denim and dark blazers and tops, etc. and the garments can bleed on the bags which as most of us know, never comes off...so as pretty as the soft colors are, its just not practical at least for me...hope that helps :)

I have a lamb's skin bag and it has aged beautifully......mine is darker though so I am not sure....it you are worried about it getting dirty I havea solution! I use Horseman;s leather conditioner. It cleand and protects all leather and I have used it on my Louis Vuitton bag(you know how light the cowhide leather is) and it keeps it SO clean and protected without altering the colour or adding shine. I highly recommend it! Message me if you need more info....

lambskin is super soft and scratches so easily. i love the feel but i always ruin it. the caviar leather is a lot more durable. if you're not happy with the color exchange it for something you feel you will use more. the color does look kind of funky in the video. for a purse that expensive you need to be 100% happy with it :)
Answer to your question: The lambskin is wayyyy less durable and it scratches very easy, it is going to be a purse that you are going to have to baby and you will be more worried about protecting it from damage than actually enjoying it..trust me I went through it and wish I was smart enough to exchange it.
OPINION: I can def. see what you are talking about it does have a tint. Get the caviar and save some of the extra money that will be left over for maybe a pink wallet. Good luck!

Hello, I think you should go with your gut feeling first of all. It is a precious bag and exotic as well so I think it would be something that really means a lot and something will be with you forever. However, If you don't like the style- I think you should sell it on ebay and get more money than you payed for it because I am so so sure it will sell for so much for than retail price. BUT if you are just questioning if you want to keep it because of it getting dirty, I think you should keep it.
i can definitely tell that there's a tint to your bag!!! i think you should get caviar if you want to use it a lot. I have the rue cambon wallet, and its lamskin and it gets dirty easily and doesnt look as nice as it did before. And i have the black caviar east-west bag with silver hardware and its held up pretty well. So i think you should go for the caviar in the butterscotch with the gold hardware! good luckkk :)
it's really cute. but if you're not sure then exchange it. + i don't think a chanel bag is the time to be "trendy" or unique, so maybe get a classic color instead, so it's useable for a long time.

I completely agree with lauryngo!! :) if you are planning to use the bag as an everyday piece, the pink will show a lot of dirt. Also, I know from personal experience when I don't abosolutely LOVE something I rarely use it, so getting a different colour and in the leather material as opposed to the lambskin, you will be sure to get great use out of it. For a bag that expensive, you should be 100% happy with it and want to wear it everyday... definitely exchange it for the tan or even black. Pale pink would be too hard to keep clean anyways.... like if it rubbed against dark jeans... yikes!!! Hope that helps :)

And if you're worried about color transferring into your bag, light lambskin is so easy to get dirty and hard to remove..where as caviar is much durable, not easily can get dirty, easier to clean. There are lot of cleaning products for leather..get one, and you're good to go!

You are definitely having second thoughts so everytime you look at it your gonna think it looks grey/blue and wish you had exchanged it for the other. I'm the exact same way when I get something and think "I like it but I don't like this about it but maybe I could live with it", if that makes sense. You should be 100% happy with what you get, no doubts! Love your videos btw!

I own 2 jumbo, one in light beige and the other in red, both caviar. Also I have classic black lambskin flap. From my own experience, lambskin is divine to touch, looks a tad bit better than caviar, but unfortunately its so darn easy to scratch and nothing can rlly repair! I always have to worry bout getting it scratched. so Id say return it and get a caviar one! You wont regret, i promise!

i have a lambskin chanel and it's over 10 years old. very durable and still feels the same way it felt from the first day. i do get worried, it does scratch easily but i do not wear it on a daily basis and no scratches are visible. i think you should return it since you're not satisfied with the filmy color, u will always have it in the back of ur head. the almond color + gold hardware would be more versatile since you can use it for all seasons and you can wear it with a lot of outfits!

I think if you don't LOVE it then return it. For the price of the bag it's something that you will want to use and love for years and years. Get something you are so excited about and in love with. I don't think the color is terrible BUT if it's not the color you saw before when you tried it then get something else.

I think the bag is absolutely gorgeous, but that is alot of money to be unsure about it. You should love it every time you look at it! I have a lambskin purse (tho not a Chanel) and it scratches pretty easily, so keep that in mind. Good luck with your decision!

If you aren't completely happy with it, then return it. When you are spending that much on a bag it needs to be one that you are absolutely in love with. If you aren't completely happy then you won't enjoy wearing it, and you will resent it.

Personally I love the color, but I think you should return it. Anytime I add a new bag to the collection It really has to take my breath away. When you finally got your package and opened up the box you should have been squealing with joy. Any other reaction means your not 100% happy so it should definitely go back. Sounds like you would prefer the other bag. Really been enjoying your videos;-DD

I know how you feel girly! I've always loved the powder pink bag by Chanel but unfortunately if it was not a caviar skin it will not hold up and the reason it has that "tint" to it is because it had been in the dust bag and the black from the dust bag has transferred onto the bag, and it will only get worse! Exchange it!!!

Where did u order it from? Go for Caviar. I have both Lamb and Caviar. I have a light grey in Lamb skin and its not dirty, maybe because its GREY! DUH!. And I have a black one in Caviar, and it is way more practical than the lamb skin! :D

Hey Alex :) Even if i thought the bag was PERFECT is too much money to be unsure. Do not keep such and expensive bag without loving it. Really do not! I would return it for something you will love. I am getting a Caviar Maxi in Red or Black with Silver hardware soon. I saw the Caviar Maxi in Black on Gold hardware and did not buy it because it was not exactly what i want it. You gotta feel about your Chanel, like you do about ur LV (the white one). Have an awesome day and let me know what u do.

i have a lambskin black balenciaga giant city and i love it! the leather is so soft and lovely and its gotten softer over time...but as much as i love light color bags i wear a lot of dark denim and dark blazers and tops, etc. and the garments can bleed on the bags which as most of us know, never comes off...so as pretty as the soft colors are, its just not practical at least for me...hope that helps :)

I have a lamb's skin bag and it has aged beautifully......mine is darker though so I am not sure....it you are worried about it getting dirty I havea solution! I use Horseman;s leather conditioner. It cleand and protects all leather and I have used it on my Louis Vuitton bag(you know how light the cowhide leather is) and it keeps it SO clean and protected without altering the colour or adding shine. I highly recommend it! Message me if you need more info....

lambskin is super soft and scratches so easily. i love the feel but i always ruin it. the caviar leather is a lot more durable. if you're not happy with the color exchange it for something you feel you will use more. the color does look kind of funky in the video. for a purse that expensive you need to be 100% happy with it :)

Answer to your question: The lambskin is wayyyy less durable and it scratches very easy, it is going to be a purse that you are going to have to baby and you will be more worried about protecting it from damage than actually enjoying it..trust me I went through it and wish I was smart enough to exchange it.
OPINION: I can def. see what you are talking about it does have a tint. Get the caviar and save some of the extra money that will be left over for maybe a pink wallet. Good luck!

Hello, I think you should go with your gut feeling first of all. It is a precious bag and exotic as well so I think it would be something that really means a lot and something will be with you forever. However, If you don't like the style- I think you should sell it on ebay and get more money than you payed for it because I am so so sure it will sell for so much for than retail price. BUT if you are just questioning if you want to keep it because of it getting dirty, I think you should keep it.

i can definitely tell that there's a tint to your bag!!! i think you should get caviar if you want to use it a lot. I have the rue cambon wallet, and its lamskin and it gets dirty easily and doesnt look as nice as it did before. And i have the black caviar east-west bag with silver hardware and its held up pretty well. So i think you should go for the caviar in the butterscotch with the gold hardware! good luckkk :)

Return it if your not completely happy with it, I know how this feels. I did the same thing with a LV Tivoli GM and didnt know after taking it home if i wanted to keep it or not. But i did fall in love it, so if your NOT feeling it 110% ditch it!!!
