  • well, not all of us are spoiled asses like you

  • Haha everyone learning from this fails I get to work with a NFL center to learn from

  • hey lorenzos, it helps a lot if you have a faster reaction time, i suggest working on reaction time and BOTH arms in the room. if that doesnt work, then i cant help you

  • hand off the knee!!!!!!! i pplay it, andhand off the knee helps sooooo much

  • Ok, so my nephew is having trouble with his quickness on the snap. Ive worked with him on this and even got him a rubber strap to add resistance. Ive seen the rubber strap use at a college workout room and thought it was a good idea. He still is having trouble. Any thoughts?

  • @slipknotcontent66 im a center and what helped me snap quicker was doing alot more bench and arm excercises like dips and curls

  • i always learned to snap it with the laces on the left and the qb recieves it with the laces up. is that bad?

  • @lquaky2j thats how i do it.

  • im 14 going into high school and im 6 foot and 190 and ive never played on a team before and im curious as to what position i should play i was guessing center of defensive end but honestly i dont know and id really appreciate your input

  • @GusBus74 Well, considering the height and weight. Yes. It's harder for centers to get lower because they snap, especially with the taller players. Good luck!

  • @MrRileyCoyote yes i hear you all day long, 6'3 playing center is really dam tricky

  • @13craj Oh god, I'm like 5"9(Tall at my age) and centers need to concentrate on snapping, blocking some of the biggest defensive players, getting the snaps to the QB(Not the RB, god damn my accuracy), opening gaps, AND remembering the cadence. 2nd most important player on the offense, least recognized.

  • thx for the info

  • do you have to be big to play linemen? or you just need to be strong?

  • @bea27997 ya u just have to be strong enough to block the guys infront of u hahaha

  • @frank12364 thx buddy. Now i know i can play linemen.

  • @bea27997 Both

    Speed and Explosion too

  • @bea27997 Depends, It really just depends on technique but if your in highschool and your 5ft 9 and 150lbs, then of course your to small, but just because your big doesnt mean you gonna be good, you need to have strength as well, so your main lifts should be bench, squat, deadlift, and everything on your arms, but most importantly you need to be mean.

  • @bea27997 well let's break it down like this. you have a 230 pound pounds D end rush you. who is most likely going to pick himi up your average250 linemen or a 160 linemen? But you could be 160 pounds and be pure solid muscle and pick him up because your stronger then he is and you have enough strength to pick up his size. if you outweigh a man it's harder for him to push you back.

  • FUCK EXTPERTVILLAGE!!!!

  • see here is my problem now im typing this comment before i watch the video, ok i can snap the ball while looking at my qb and i can block the nose guard but i can snap the ball well enough with out looking at my QB

  • @sgtmjames hey man i have been playing center for awhile now and when i started i had the same problem,i could snap fine when looking at the qb but when i didnt it would go alittle high.so when practice is done i would meet up with my QB and practice alittle more,Also it is good to be great friends with ur Qb it will help with blocking and snapping, because u dont want ur buddy getting nailed! lol ok hope this helps

  • Is their a professional I can talk to? saaaaay, an NFL center?

  • dilbert village is more like it ...

  • thanks man i hope it worls for my game tommorrow

  • You are supposed to give the qb laces.

    Dear expert village,

You suck I like howcast better than you. love, MikeyTV32

  • alright guys, last year i played guard, but yesterday my coach wanted me to try center, i've never snapped before in my life, i'm playing varsity ball. any tips guys?

  • @rebelrulez1022 same thing happened to me. i figured out if (in shotgun anyway) you move ur thumb up on the ball to make a cone like figure it helps alot

  • hes doing wrong when he keeps other hand in knee.. thats phoes to be ready for charge or defend in front of your body and then u keep ur shoulders balanced.

  • lol...wen he holds the football he holds it by the laces. wen i snap the football i try to give my QB the laces

  • @UnholyZigzag u wont if u snap shotgun. u grab the laces then. lol

  • u have to talk to your quaterback and see how wants the ball snapped to him. my quater back likes me to have the laces ot to the left but that him

  • Thanks, I really love expert village, it's really been helpful to me in a lot of areas

  • bullshit U ARE CLARLY suppose to give hte qb the laces of the ball and not the flat side. if its raining in a game y would the qb want a slippery wet flat ball wen he can just have the laces in his hands with grip on it

  • ya and your supposed to put ur hand at the top of the lacses so they get to the quarterback

  • the only thing that would make that a great snap is if he would turn the ball so that the quarter back feels the laces on his fingers. that way the QB wont have to turn it as he has to pass and wont waster time doing so. thats what i do

  • Im trying to learn to snap cause i start tackle and are starting center tore his acl so are other tackle is starting center so i will be starting tackle still but we dont have a another center that can block good enough to play varsity

  • LOL pause at 1:38

  • get ur hand/arm off ur knee son!!

  • ur suppose to keep the arm your not using to keep you in a 3 point stance relaxed.

  • ur retarded

  • you can just keep your elbow on your knee so you can use it...

  • he is moving the ball to much

  • when i played center in high school i snapped with the laces up and my thumb laying across the lace so the laces would be right on the qbs fingers. This wasn't ideal when it was wet though so I would use two hands

  • pause it at 0:33 haha

  • lol

  • the centers not holding the ball right

  • i hold it like that

  • its kinda pointless to practice being center with nobody as qb...

  • damn right mate, the qb is the one who gives you the feedback wether you are doing good or bad.

  • Yeah at my school i might play center and they want us to have it upside down so the laces go to the quarterback.

  • i play wide. i dont really care.

  • i just start with it turned
