In my neiborhood a learned a friends Dad fought for the Germans during WW2, I found it fairly interesting remembering he was in the Afrika Korps and captured by US sent to WI picked apples and stayed here after the war(or reemigrated with his German wife, he still thought of Hitler as a great man. They had a large collection of Black Forest cookoo clocks and carvings. Many of my Father's generation were WW2 vets too.
