Oh no! these guys are all assigned social workers and if they act up they go straight to Ward-B(Looney Bin) or the psych ward. I have had to take a few of these guys to Ward-B in Patton State Hospital in Highland for acting out and assaulting other boarders.

2 words TARDIVE DYSKENESIA. Poor Guy. He does haveSchizophrenia and the start of the lip smacking is a sign of td.. HE can't stay still, another sign. These drugs decrease dopamine, so , as a side effect, you see Parkinsoniam symptoms in this population ( Parkinsons sufferers have low dopamine levels(.. Sad. Get off the damn drugs if you can!!

As a patient he is complaining about the typical experience a nut gets in Psych Hospital. What he doesn't understand is that they have been cutting back Medical & Counseling services for the mentaly ill since the 1960's. Now the most likely place a mentaly ill person will be taken is not not a Hospital but to jail. That is a fact.

With the collapse the cuts will likely be more drastic with more seriosly mentaly ill left to fend for themselves putting themselves in danger and the public.

@slobomotion That Jaw grinding is a side effect of certain anti psychotic meds. They give you a secondary medication I forgot the name of it to take the edge you get when taking Thorazine or Haldol. Even newer Antipyschotics can give you permanent tics.

@valhala56 The med was new here in France then and there were lawsuits and issues over misrepresentation to French doctors by the Japanese manufacturer. That drug cost a fortune. I right away felt bad about making French soc sec pay for it. It was okay at first but again, six months into it, tardive akathesia set in and I was the one who had to diagnose it and ask for an antidote! Not the doctors! Disgusting.

I will say, I got offered a lot of stuff in NYC and most of it was just messed up, I hated it. So there ya go.
