  • WTF is "Fullerton?" I clicked into this after searching for "Hollywood Bones." I didn't even know this thing existed.

  • Hey I live in Fullerton!! i might buy this for the tone AND the name ;)

  • Clapton-like sound...

  • again, what's the difference to the hollywood pedal?

  • The color of this thing makes it easy confused with the 'Hollywood Bones". Guess they ran out of colors to paint their pedals?

  • I have a mesa original mark 1. The distortion on it baRELY counts even for overdrive. Will I be able to milk pantera, testament, slayer out of this pedal if I put it in front of a clean amp?

  • @PhiyukYu

I think what you're looking for is the Radial London Bones or the Tonebone Hot British Tube Distortion for that metal sound. I have the Tonebone Plexitube Tube Distortion. If you can spare the extra cash get the Plexitube it's worth it for the extra scooping features. All 3 pedals sound similar and will give you the sound you're looking for if your guitar has relatively hot pickups. The London Bones is solid state and is half the cost of the Plexi but it's kill sounding.

  • You might also wanna try changing your v1 tube (first preamp tube) because if that one is weak the lead drive is going to be weak. If you want pantera tones get the dime pedal (it emulates his solid state distortion sound) or get a a higher gain pedal than this one demoed.

  • It's now named "Hollywood" distortion.Don't know if Fender or Mike Fuller have something to do with that .

  • so then this is the same as the hollywood?

  • It would be nice if they have the older version with this one.

  • hey dude where can i buy that pedal from??? my local guitar center does not sell that one, they have another models.

  • try Proguitarshop (DOT) com

  • Since it's named Fullerton is it supposed to be like a Tweed sound?

  • More general than that, simply Fender tones. Mainly due to the scooped mids and smoother distortion than Brit amps.

    PGS

  • I love the demo sounds. Hopefully I'll get one after Christmas

  • The Texas seems more SRV-ish and this more "natural"

  • true

  • Me like this better than the London

  • Sounds kinda like ZZ Top
