So, I'm rather curious... judging from the comments that I assume are from current LDS members...
If some one's whole life is spent in an orginazation, then a person feels that it is right to leave it... isn't that person entitled to voice their opinion and the reason for their choice?
I say YES!!.. but that might just be satan speaking through me. *sarcasm*
I'm glad I went to a church with kind hearted people. After I came out as an atheist, they didn't think any less of me and didn't treat me like I was doing Satan's work. I can only imagine what it would be like leaving a church like lds/mormons. I heard the rumors they start and how they almost completely shut you out of their life. The ones that do still talk to you only do so thinking they can convert you back. They think you're some lost sheep or something.
You know the hardest thing to do in life is to know Christ. Have a connection with the holy ghost. And then loose it and try to deny it. Satan has tried and tried to do this for SOOOOOOOOOOO long now. Even satan himself cannot do it. Neither can this guy. But I do wish him the best of luck trying.
Hes not obsessed he just found the truth and wants to spred it with the world maybe people that leave there families for two years and try to spred some bull shit are obsessed and waisting everyones time the come in contact with
I feel sad for this individual who has lost his testimony and faith. He unfortunately has taken it to a level of now fighting those whom he previously fellowshipped with including his family members. But more importantly, he has entered into a very dark area of apostacy. I hope he can find his way back, as I did from my excommunication just 3 years ago. Peace!
I feel sad for you not being able to see the big picture. If we are to follow Christ's teachings, we should be ok with and listen to criticism. Christ was one serious dude. Besides that, there ARE truly happy, fulfilled people existing outside of Mormonism. Peace out! :)
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
WOW! I guess people that leave the Church can't leave it alone (and yes there is a double meaning here).
This guy is obsessed.
Live your own life, let others have their faith, have your own faith, and you'll feel more fulfilled. I'm sure you have better things to do with your time.
I, as a Mormon, am deeply offended by your actions. Wasting the missionaries time? They could be using that time to really help someone in need.
..Great video...thank you...See also on youtube: FROM LDS TO JESUS (MICAH)...its the moving testimony of a young former morman missionary who rejected the false doctrines of joseph smith, embracing instead the true gospel which NEVER needed "restoration" or "another testament"..Micah along with other ex-mormons formed a christian music band called ADAM'S ROAD BAND ...you can vire their talented music videos on this site type: ADAM'S ROAD BAND...
I agree that you don't need the Bible to refute Mormons. You don't need it to refute any brand of Christian. That being said, I think your advice generally boils down to this: your opponent has the burden of defending his or her assertions. So count me as an atheist who basically agrees with your approach (and also as one who hopes you'll apply it to your own world view).
So by your own statement you have the burden to prove the position of an atheist, more specifically boil it down to proving the non-existence of any deity.
You do have the burden to defend your assertions, prove to me there is no God.
This guy is telling the truth about the church. If you want to keep your head buried in the sand, because you haven't checked any of this stuff out, you are doing yourself an injustice.
Sorry guy you believe everything you read, words are just words man. There are 100s of personal accounts of Joseph Smith of those who knew him very well, I guess they mean nothing.
wAw The facts are the facts , what good are personal accounts of brainwashed deluded folowers ? Joseph Smith was lying to them as well as everyone else.Did those who wrote the personal accounts know he was marrying other mens wives and daughters of 14 years of age ?Did they know the Amertican Indians have no relevance to any Israelites through father Lehi ? Did they know the Book Of Abraham was translated from ordinary common Egyptian Funeral scrolls ?

Be carefull there. I, as a Mormon, feel deeply troubled that your judgmental approach is a tad ruthless.
