Clerics are one of the reason Aion PvP is shit at endgame atm. The healer can pretty much kill any melee in the game except decked out Sins. It's pretty bad atm.

Eventually the gear level will be such that the game will catch up and melee will be worth a damn, but I wonder how many will still be playing at that point.

I know it sounds like I'm being unfair, but honestly, Aion players. Look around at your server population. Roll an alt and look at the newbie zones.

It's not getting better.

I dont see what people are really saying about Aion's grind. The only people that think Aion is a grinding game is because they grind. Aion has alot of quests, and if you participate in the quests that the game gives you a choice too, it's much more rewarding than just fighting monster after monster. About end game. There are quite a few instances to be explored, and the Abyss is really fun as well but they really only serve to get better equipment for grinding and pvp. End game is just Pvp. :[

Cleriks are really strong because they can deal good dmg and are nearly invulnerable because of their heal.

I only beat one of them one time... he was 3 lvl lower than me ^^ and... after a loooong fight he has not enough mana left to heal ^^

atm aion is better then wow ... but wow is better only at "number of players" . Aion has graph better ( skills , mobs , lands , etc) .

this game is (i find) alot like silkroad with bit of WoW involved. The only reason i would say silkroad is bad is because of the terrible traffic, and for a person like me, who has no patience, this game looks alot better.

Aion is not a good option if you still want to have a social life (the grind element is even greater than in WoW). In fact, no MMO that I know of is. I believe they are all designed to replace your social life, lol.

Aion is not for casual players, everything in the game is a grind :/ im a casual player that has been playing since the game released and i only just hit level 30, lvl cap is 50

For example, I needed 4.6mil exp to level past 29, now I need 5.8mil exp to level past 30, and it grows extremely fast, and the xp from monsters barely increases, I get about 11-13k per mob :/

And all the quests are kill quests or collect quests with very low drop rates xP (MOSTLY anyway, not all)

I find myself playing less and less though, the game is just too grindy for me, I dont mind a bit of grind in some games but when almost every aspect of the game is based on some form of grinding, laced with grinding mobs to level up.. it just leaves a lot to be desired, if you like it, great, but its just not the right game for most CASUAL players(most in theory)

I'm now lv28 and that's in3 weeks and i barely grinded I spend more time getting kinah than grinding the problem is not Aion but wow everybody who plays wow are a bunch of wimps on grinding, you have to learn the art of grinding wow doen't have that at all. The first mmo that i ever played was L2 and that was a private server with something like 7x normal exp than I started playing on retail I struggled so much but eventually I got it and now grinding is a piece of cake for me in any game.

The game isnt as well rounded as some of the more popular and older titles such as World of Warcraft, but that has been around for much longer and has had serious renovations on it, but nevertheless games like WoW will always be better for casual players (however WoW does demands quite a long amount of playtime above level 70+endgame)

Its all really a matter of personal preference and what the player has time to play

Anyways, I dont know about you, but WoW is not really for casual players either. End game, when everyone is 80, Those that are crazy get so much better gear than casual players it is ridiculous. The problem is, to get good pvp gear, you must do arena and win. The bigger problem is, how will you win with nothing but PVE or deadly gladiator sets like that?

in pvp you lose nothing, but there could have been a reason for which he just ran away for example he could have been binded to an obelisk somewhere on the other side of the world. than you die you resurrect next to the obelisk to which you wore binded if you don't know.

Well its the reason why you dont know about the pvp in this game. As a Spell caster you need to keep your distance from melee. They have abilities that stun, airiel lock, apply slow downs, and dots. To be an expert you need to kite and not get hit. A Sorc or Spiritmaster will get pummeled if he just sits there taking the damage. A cleric will get there Heals interupted if they sit there just taking it. Learn to move, learn to use obstacles, and learn to use distance to avoid certain skills.

at lvl10 you get your first free wings then at lvl 30 you can buy new wings for 700-800k then at 40 you can buy wings for 12ml then at 50 you have a quest where you get the lv 50 wings for free
