There isn't really enough information in that question for Charlie to solve it. But if we assume that it's saying something like 'if it takes ONE WITCH half as long to train a cat as it does for the snail to go around the pond.....' (Where I added in 'ONE WITCH' as the required information) then the answer is 6 hours.

@coconutmilkshakeXD i may be wrong but i think it's 3: if it takes 4 witches 12 hours to train 6 cats then that leaves 2 hours per cat (12/6=2). it takes a snail half as long to crawl round a pond as to train a cat then it will take 1 hour (2/2=1). it will therefore take the snail 3 hours to crawl around the pond 3 times. the question doesn't make it clear however whether it takes the snail half as long to crawl as it would take 1 witch to train the cat. if that is the case then youre right

so i'm a nerd and i did the math problem.

If it takes 4 witches 12 hours to train 6 cats, it would take 4 witches 2 hours to train 1 cat.

For 1 witch to train 1 cat then it would take 8 hours. So it takes a snail 4 hours to take 1 lap around the pond and 12 hours to take 3 laps.

If you assume we're measuring time based on 4 witches instead of reducing it down to 1 witch, it would take a snail 1 hour to go around a pond and 3 hours for 3 laps.

Actually J.K got the idea for the name Hermione from Shakespeare's A Winter's Tale. Besides, this show can out way after the first Harry Potter book. I think comparing the two is just ridiculous, the only real similarity is that they are both set in a school and involve wizards and witches
