sample rate on the audio is too low for the first illusion. there are artifacts in the sound (low hums) caused by this.

First one was sort of a click, then a quiet static sound, then a click? I'm 16. Not a clue if that's actually it.

I'm 30 what i heard was Flick/click high pitched buzzing flick. Not hearing anything positional about the sound. Didn't really sound like a mosquito so much as a buzz. Maybe I'm not hearing all of it.

What does age have to do with being able to hear it? - also im 19 and i heard the following.

a switch goes off (on actually) and a low buzzing sounds starts (not a mosquito though) sounds like a fluorescent light. then the switch sounds again and this time the sound goes away.

@Bocist it has to do with how deaf you are, and how worn out your ears are. meaning the hairs and whatever measures the vibrations that is sound. as you get older, they dont work as well, or as you listen to loud music they stop working... thats why some people can hear the sound grenade app for ipod and some cant.
