split mode is NOT the size of the video.

It is the cut-off point to split the vid. It looks like you cannot resize or deinterlace with this program.

I downloaded the trial of this program a few days ago from the official website (at least I think...) and I had a problem with it and was wondering if you ran into this.

About 30 min into the rip, my computer shuts off. I tried it 3 times in a row and every time, it would shut off my computer. Any idea why it did this?

why not just copy the whole DVD ? use a DL dvd to copy it to if it won't fit on a reg dvd ..the orginal dvd was DL.. use DVD Shrink 3.2 it's free

sounds like u have a corrupt file .. u need to uninstall and reinstall the program with the problem.. or u did an update and the old program is not compatible

first you have to make sure that It's mp4 format the you drag it into "videdo's and it will autimatically start downloading to your Ipod

the movie editor i use is Sony Vegas 7 Pro, it does everything i need it to. But if you want a cheaper style you can get Sony Vegas movie studio platinum or just Sony Vegas movie studio. Also Camtasia Studio(my screen capture software) comes with its own editor.

i need some help. i downloaded this program but am having problems with copying t.v. show dvds. instead of copying episodes normal. its taking individual episodes and breaking them into 2 parts. so like a 45 minutes episode is now being split into 2 parts. can anyone tell me if theres a way not to do that. i would like to keep each episode intact.

Well, I forget how to do this, mainly because im at the beach right now, but once i get home there is a function that is the split mode or what ever and you can set it o loke a certain amount of mb's and then it will split it in to another clip, or you can choose to split it by chapter. Well set that function to unlimited and it might fix ur problem. But once i get back home i can tell you the exact answer. Hope this helped :)

If your computer can read blue ray or HD DVDs and has a burner for them then the program should still work.

mine takes like 45 minutes depending on the size of the dvd...and the type of format you convert it to...cause i have a zune and it takes 45 min to convert the movie the grudge... and it took like 2 minutes on a project...

well, it really depends on what your converting it to. If you convert it into original mpeg2 it will rip in like 20 minutes. But if it is like ipod or apple tv it will take about a couple hours.

It seems as though the time it takes to rip is based no the disk your ripping. I have had it take anywhere from 24 minutes for a movie thats an hour and a half long to 4 hours for a 2 hour movie. It seems to be fairly normal. But there is also the possibility of your cd/burner/rom may also be an issue as well. I have yet to test that theory. And also where you are saving the file. If your ripping to an external device, it could actually be adding time to the clock.

Bitripper is FREE and you can rip dvds into and avi. DVDX is also FREE and does the same thing basicly.

DVD Shrink will actually ripped the authored dvd so it will not be in an avi but it can be used to burn another copy of the dvd and its also FREE, sorry i dont need to pay 30 dollars for something i can get free.

Also, camstudio is a way better screen capturing program then camtasio and camstudio also is FREE. And please record in 320 by 240 so i can see what your ACTUALLY doing.

sorry for the misunderstanding, this is not the right video, like in the beginning, he said, he recorded this once already, i saw that version before, and it was at 320 by 240 because he had the auto pan on, which was zoomed in so you could see clearer, sorry man. :)
