yeah, she did the same thing when she won the grammy for best new artist and alot of ppl were like why did she thank her dad? so when she did a special for E!, i think it's true hollywood sorr but im not sure, she said that she didn't want ppl to think she ment her real dad because she was talking about her step dad.

Im happy she finnaly won something. BTw who ever said britney cant sing are really dumb. Cuz i saw her demo video of her singing, and that video was how she got a record deal with jive. She has a 3 octave ranve xtina has a 4 octave. Dont compare then, they have their own sound, although i'll admitt i cant get britney's songs out my head lol

there's a big difference between a 3 octave range and a 4 octave range. you can't even compare britney to christina vocally, christina is an amazing vocalist who's won grammys and countless awards because of her voice (best female vocal etc) she's called the voice of her generation and is compared to mariah, whitney, celine etc.
britney is, or at least she was, a great dancer, but vocally christina shits all over britney and the whole world knows it. britney doesn't even sing live... ever.

ye, i do know britney sold more. but i don't care, sales don't make britney better as an artist. i think the quality of the music is much more important than mainstream success.. christina is one of the most successful artists of the decade, she's sold 42 million albums in just 10 years, she has a 4 octave vocal range, she's praised as the voice of her generation, she's the youngest person and #58 on rolling stone's list of best voices ever, beating mariah carey.

i hate talking about her albums like this though.. like sales and all that superficial stuff is important.. back to basics is a brilliant album, which did VERY well, considering it was old school jazz, soul, r&b, blues .. and a double disc album at that.
