Also go to the Siri settings and turn of the "raise to speak" feature, this uses the light sensor to enable Siri when you hold it to your ear. Just hold the power button. This really does save battery.
Funny how it took the moron from apple customer service almost a whole hour to explain similar ways to prevent high battery drain. Good job dude! very quick and to the point.
Good tips how to save battery for your iphone 4s,go to settings forward call, forward iphone 4s calls to your old phone and then turn off power your iphone 4s.
hey, I just got my 4s 64gb a week ago, but i find when i use the home button to wake up my phone, it a little slower than then iphone 4 which i already have. the 4s is supposed to be faster than iphone4 in any features, i dont know why. it maybe not a faulty, but it's kind of annoying to me.
@deepinglive - Try using the lock button at the top of your phone to wake your device. For me it is instant vs when I use the home button it takes a second. If you continue to see issues you may want to give Apple a call. The 4s is a new device so they are very responsive to issues with the device. Thanks for watching!
@kurtmoore420 I never used the triple click feature. i tried, and at first it did work. but now I still have this issue. it's not a problem, but very annoying. my friend's 4s is ok. i'll bring it to apple tomorrow. Thank you anyway.
@deepinglive go to notes, hold the power button until slide to shut down comes up, and then hold the home button. it may take up to 30 seconds, but it does some sort of recalibration and makes the home button much more responsive.
Thanks for the video. Even after trying everything my iPhone 4s battery is going down faster than my 2 yr old 3gs battery. I'm going to get a replacement with apple just to see if there is any difference... I hope so because I hate the fact that I leave my house in the morning with the phone fully charged but after normal usage I'll run out of battery before the end of the day.
@iOSmojo no problem but it's a good way to detect what is running constantly by turning on in your status bar. I turned mine on and I had two process always on. Apple has to issue a new bug fix for soon because the battery was going down so fast and I wasn't using the phone but they were constantly searching for gps. Nice video and keep them coming.
Go to location services, system services, scroll down to status bar icon turn on and if anything is constantly using these services it will show up in your status bar. You can then turn off as a few of them have bugs and were constantly on.
@JamieKayLan - Thanks Jamie. I did look at these services but I do not know enough about what they do yet to recommend or not recommend them. I try to stay away from making any suggestions I do not fully understand. Thanks for sharing the tip! :)
@GingerGavin - The device is still in a launch phase. I would assume there will be updates soon to help with the battery issues. For now these suggestions are meant to assist you in prolonging battery life and should be set only as needed.
@GingerGavin whats killing your battery could also be u still having apps running and u dont no it.....do u make sure u close out of apps the proper way?

@deepinglive Try going into Settings > General > Accessibility and turn of "Triple-click Home"
I did this when I first got my 4S 32GB and it made the home button immediately responsive.

I've got the 4S, the battery is disgraceful but if I follow these steps I may as well return the phone and buy a sheet of paper.
