  • My old pc used to run it pretty well but i just upgraded so i can't wait to test it! Core I7 3.4ghz, 8gb ddr3 1333mhz ram with radeon 5770.

My old PC in Kai Tak or St Maarten with the flytampa addons i would only get about 25fps.

  • Well mine cost $700 and it STILL runs like shit... :P

  • Do you think an Intel Core i5 would work good?

  • And im looking at a 599.99 com GREAT! Thanks

  • would my specifications look good on fsx?

    -4gb of ddr2 ram

    -500 gb internal hard drive

    -AMD Phenom II X4 840 @ 3.2

    -MSI 785-GT-E63

    -ATI Radeon HD 4200

-e-GeForce 8600 GT using ATI Hybrid CrossFireX

    ??? any good ???

    Thanks, bmxbikerify

  • btw, this is all a ddr2 system....

    bmxbikerify

  • would my computer be able to run it good radeon 3000 1gb 4gb of ram 3.75.

amd athlon x 2 im gonna be upgrading the card soon but will it run it now with out blue screen of death i dont need it on ultra normal is all i want

  • @pain20000 i think it will run smooth but you never know

  • i have a 800$ comp it isent even as good as this

  • first all computers can run great on with the trike ultralight second scenery high no not possible

  • What about my specs?

    Gateway

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Intel Core i3 Processor 530

    6 GB DDR3 Memory

    1 Tegabyte HDD Hard Drive

    Integradted Intel GMA HD Graphics

Definitely not top of the line but hows it sound?

  • Awesome!

  • Hello, i really liked your video. im thinking about buying this ibuypower pc, do you think i could run fsx with near max settings?

NVIDIA GT210 512MB dedicated: graphics card vram

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 (2.8GHz) Processor Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT210 512MB Hard Disk Drive: 500GB 7200rpm

    Serial-ATA Memory: 4GB DDR3-1333 Optical Drive: 24 x DL DVD+/-RW Drive Window 7 Home Premium

  • hey all my pc specs are good for fsx except i dont know if my proccessor is gud.

i haven't installed fsx yet, so can u tell me?

    my specs:

    4 GB RAM

    windows7,

    CPU:AMD Athlon II P320 Dual-Core Processor 2.10 Ghz

Graphics/Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

  • Hey man - looks pretty good, but I couldn't read your fps, what frame rates are you getting?

I'm getting ready to build a computer for a home sim-pit i'm building so it will be running fsx exclusively. And actually my computer right now is almost identical to yours so I'm curious.

  • @mormon97 i get about 20-30 in low populated areas like in the video. but if you want to play fsx seriously, i would suggest a computer with better specs than mine. i play fs2004 far more because it runs absolutely perfect with all the addons i have, fsx is more for vfr cessna flying and stuff.

  • $500. wow

  • try this with any captain sim aircraft or pmdg and we will see the frame crashin

  • @formychar1, can happen on most computers.

  • yupp ... I built mine for CDN$550 ... max it out in FS-X and only "problem" is that 5770 gets to 70C, with spikes to 75C.

    ^5

p.s. when you fly /any/ plane as thought it's a rocket I think of BF2. And that's no compliment. cheers

  • omg, oke sure, you play on ultra but ! if you run with scenery's and addons ! i make a bet your system will slow down.. and then you cant play ultra!

  • @fijnzijn this is true, but with 500 dollars now instead of 2 years ago, you could probably build a computer that will play it with a few addons and run better than mine does on ultra in similar situations as this video

  • Hey man would a Intel Core I3 @ 2.27Ghz 4 GB Of DDR3 ram and HD Intel Graphics 2gb card run fsx smoothly?

  • If you wanna know if FSX will run on your system, find the free demo, might be around still.

  • what are the airports?? :)

  • Can somone please tell me what is a good afordable gaming pc.

  • i doubt you spent 500 dollars on this computer. FSX runs great on your shit

  • very nice, i bought the Toshiba satellite l505 for 500 dollars and it runs great much like in this video!

  • hahahahahhh..you used the air creation thing,,try installing a payware scenery, pmdg 747 , gex, rex and stuff and add some clouds..then record a video and you will see what happens..10fps

  • does it have sp1 or sp2 for fsx??? plz answer

  • Comment removed

  • Would FSX run well with

80GB HDD ( Will be upgraded to 1TB Soon)

    2GB RAM (DDR)

    3.2GHZ P4 Processor

    Nvidia GeForce GT 7600 - 256mb DDR2

    Thanks, it's also a Shuttle ss51g V2

  • @sammoss147 i'd say it won't run nearly as good as mine runs. it would be just barely playable, the main reason it won't be very good is your cpu. only single core, and its like 4 or 5 years old. ddr1 ram is not very fast. i'd be surprised if it even ran at all to be honest.

  • @codyl1992 the cpu shouldn't really be a problem, if you (sammos147) get a GeForce 8800 ultra or higher and upgrade your RAM, your cpu will probably handle FSX on medium settings. I agree, however, that add-ons would be a problem.

  • @sammoss147 to be honest i doubt it will run very well, if it even runs at all. your cpu is a 4 or 5 year old single core, the ram is not even ddr2. the video card is only about 1/3rd the power of mine.

  • @codyl1992 How do you think that this processor would be 'Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.6GHz Socket 775 800FSB 2MB L2 Cache'

Thanks, sorry if I'm being a pain. lol.

  • @codyl1992 Will fsx run on my computer?

    Sony VAIO COMPUTER

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5250 @1.50 GHz 1.50 GHz

    1.00 GB RAM

    32 bit operating system

  • @codyl1992 i have half the ram half the video memory and less clock rate then the guy you replied to, and i can run it. with 20 frames on lowest settings though :(

  • @sammoss147 what kind of OS are you using ?

2gb is hardly enough for Windows 7

  • @sammoss147 how do i check what kind i have???

  • @sammoss147 it will your processor is good mine is only 2.2 and my graphics card is 9800GT and 2GB RAM i run on Very High settings not full i lag little though in big cities but not much.

  • @sammoss147 i highly doubt it'l run very well, you might be able to get very low maybe low med setting but nothing very good, i know because i used to have a P4 overclocked to 3.4GHz and it still couldn't run fsx very well at all, mostly because the P4's are very old single core cpu's, they just can't handle games as heavy as fsx.

  • @Flightkid9 see my post of 17 seconds ago. Athlon II 2.8GHz X 4 | 5770 | XP Pro | FS-X SP2 ... maxed

  • @sammoss147 it will run fine dont listen to this noob

  • @sammoss147 yes you can if you tweak your PC a bit

i have way lower specs and i run it at 25 frames a second

  • @sammoss147 yep like he says buy an new vid card

  • Do you know where I can find this thing and BUY it!

  • try flying over new york lol

  • The cost of the computer doesn't really matter ($500 is cheap btw). I have an $800 HP Pavillion, Win 7 Ultimate. Okay specs and i run FSX at its highest possibilities and it runs fine. I don't know about anyone else, but that's how it runs for me.

  • Ha! i have a 1500 dollar computer

  • 320 GB HARD DRIVE -- 16M Cache, 7200 RPM, 3.0Gb/s

    2 GB [1 GB X2] DDR2-800 PC6400 Memory Module

    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E8400 (2x 3.0GHz/6MB L2 Cache/1333FSB)

    NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 - 1GB

    Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2H -- Intel G41 Chipset MB

can i run fsx with nice grafics?

  • that would probably be a good setup.

  • sweet! im thinking of getting the same graphics card (or about the same). how would this run if i have a q6600 on stock settings?

  • it would run better than on mine, fsx is really cpu dependant. just make sure you either get acceleration (it installs all the service packs) or install them with original fsx. if i were you, i'd get a 9800 or even a 2xx series now, i got my 8600 over a year ago when that was a more popular card.

  • @codyl1992 Hey can you explain what computer dependant means? Like what things are the most important to get consistent high frames and graphics on fsx?

  • treust me quad core 3gb nvidia 9600 graphic card 4 gb ram water cooling (i did it my self :) )

  • hay i have trouble recording videos on fsx with fraps. i downladed it but how do i actually record fsx videos and post them on youtube. HELP!!!!

    please :)

  • st maartan right

  • ohhh i got a £900 computer ($1000-ish) for xmas... perfection :D

  • is there any lag over citys like new york

  • @xXxSexyEmoBoyxXx $1,330 :)

  • @SandburgSpartans Thats a fucking lot :D Thanks anyway :)

  • mines higher lol ultra high on all of mine and guess what my comp was only £400 lol

  • wat r ur sepcs and where did u get it from as im uk

  • GT240 Q9200 64bit 4gb ram 500gb space. Direct x 9.oc. But from now fsx is on a external hard rive because it took up so much space lol it started to lag eventually. I got mine from PC World and its a pakard bell it can play most games like Need for speed and sim city lol. Cya later man.

  • @TheFighterpilot93

You do realise £400 is more than $500

  • @TheFighterpilot93 That's $590....

  • why do I get a low framerate through clouds and at big airports? these are my pc specs:

    Intel Core 2 Quad (2.5GHz)

    ATI Radeon HD 4350 (512mb)

    6GB DDR2

    1TB hard disk space

  • probably too high of cloud settings, and too high traffic or scenery settings. its a pretty demanding game, thats why i play fs2004 more often.

  • ok thanks :D

  • i wanted to see a crash :( xD

  • can you please tell me were u got it from?

  • lol i built mine for 250$ and it works like a dream, just like yours

  • what the hell??? 250$??? dude, the case alone is 300$ when i went to custom made mine, how the hell urs is 250$, is it 250 total or wat?

  • Allibow the pilot where can I get ur computer. I need it for Christmas m8 plz reply

  • wow i got myne for $1000 and it still is bout the same......huh

  • well i got my pc for £299 its a medion . specs are

    4 gig ram

    dual core 2.5 ghz

    nvidia geforve 8800 1 gig

    and a 640 gig hardrivE!

and i play fsx just liek this!just to show if u new a bit bout PC'S you would not have to pay much just to run game good! : )

  • were did u get your pc m8? i am in england too but i really need a good pc to run fsx like the one on the video. il really appreciate it.

  • if you want a good pc for a good price look on ebay for spider gameing shop thers a pc for £500 that would be grate for this game

  • specs below

intel core i7-920 at 4.00 ghz

nvidia geforce gtx w/ 1.8 gb

    12 gb ddr3 ram

    1 tb hard drive

I can put all my settings at high and still get 30-40 fps

  • Naw...it's feasable to build a decent system between $500-700 depending on the parts-

He could have done better with the motherboard though.... a Gigabyte G31M?...yuck! shoulda went with ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo -Overclocking is much easier :-)

Great choice for the gfx card :-)

  • i had to get a matx motherboard, a p5q is full atx which wouldn't fit in my small form factor case.

  • nah he lieing

  • whaaattt mine is $900 and i have to have all my settings to normal

  • 500$ , bs , mines is 1700$ and it doenst do half

  • fsx is based on older dual core cheapo computer. damn Microsoft

  • after........ low low fsx

  • Are you trying to say that it's good graphics, considering the price of the computer or that you payed alot for the computer and got good graphics?

  • I spent 1200 on mine...

  • 500 dollars is nothing actually, i mean, if my laptop was 800, and there are some other pc's, 500 is nothing. My laptop is better though.

  • he probably has like a: 6" screen

  • nope, this was on a 17" crt at 1280x1024, i can run it on my 22" with the same fps on 1680x1050

  • im running an intel q6600 2.4 ghz gtx260 gpu and 3 gb ram....i cant get above 15 fps..... whats wrong

  • LOL seriously, im running on duo core 3.10ghz and 4gb of ram and a 4850, and i usually get over 30fps, you should tweak your settings, most of mine are on ultra high but if you put the water and light bloom on the highest it will eat your frame rates.

  • get the sp1 update.

  • Your BS'n me, this can't be a 500$ computer..

  • you can get a lot for a little money if you build a computer yourself, you would be surprised.

  • yeah i agree, this machine i'm on cost me about 200 uk pounds. probably more if u take into account that my motherboard fried a few weeks back.... but i can run some good stuff too....

  • nice!

  • Wat do u think about this graphic card.

Zotac 9800GT 1GB Synergy Edition DDR3 Dual DVI HDTV Out PhysX and Cuda ready PCI-E Graphics Card

    £77.99

  • its not a bad card but get the 4870 insted much better

  • too late

  • you should have bought an ati hd 4830 or 4850 graphic card

  • What song is that? :P

  • Learn to Fly by Foo Fighters

  • wow a 700$ computer it doesent matter bout that you could have put a 300 dollar gaphics card on it

  • i have a 700$ computer and my game runs like shit lol

  • its the Graphics Card

  • At 2:15 the guy died in the boat I swear :D:D

    Nice video!

  • thats 2:11 -.-

  • Is this on Windows XP or Vista? I have a Vista laptop with FSX running fine, but I installed the demo on my XP desktop and the sea is almost black.

  • that could be because you dont have directx 10 installed on xp. if you want it try seaching directx alky in google

  • i have a custom built laptop and i can run ieverything on ultra high but its a bit laggy but i have nearly everything on high but two or three things on ultra high so its quite good the laptop is worth aroung 2000 euros

  • wat are your computer specs

  • I have a custom built computer 700us dollars and i cannot perform fsx to this graphics specs cause it explodes. I have Pentium D 945 3,4GHZ 3GB 888 Kingston, XFX 9600GT XXX 512MB ASUS P5K Motherboard.

  • that pentium D sets you back, but i would still expect you to be able to run it as good as me or better.

  • i have flight sim x and i cant figure out how to record a flight. help me out

  • use fraps look it up at google, but i think you have 2 pay for it

  • press alt then search in the titles on top, one of them has record flight, something like that, easy to find it, if u want fraps just type fraps in utube i got a full free version download

  • That was stupid of you to buy a pentium d. that processor is REALLY old. You should have gotten at least a quad core processor because FSX runs mainly on processor and ram.

  • what computer?

  • Who needs 3000 dollar computers when you can get a 500 dollar computer instead.

  • what should i get to increase fps and image quality...plz reply

    thx : )

  • What I recomend are custom built computers. You can also install FSX/FS9 on a external HDD and increase your memory. That is what my cousin did and his Framerates went up to 250.

  • a graphic card from nvidia

  • what type of memory and how much

  • ..nice song.. it fits the video.. BTW.. i have a 799 dollar computer and i can only put it on medium high.. any tips??? i have 2.6 ghz 2gb ram

  • what type of graphics card do you have, if you have anything much worse than mine, you won't be able to run it at high settings like mine.

  • ..which would be better for me?? FS2004 or FS09??.. cause like i said.. my PC is a macbook with windows XP in it.. any suggestion??? FS2004 or FS09?? tnx

  • its the same thing.

  • ..cool.. haha.. yeah.. but which is better FSX or FS09?? bt for my PC FS09.. bt for you.. what better???

  • 500 isnt that much btw... my comp was about 1k but got it for 500 on black friday =P

  • that is awsome

  • i dont get it i got a 8600gt OC and it runs like shit...still playable but nowhere near these fps with this graphics

    might be my cpu(s)

    intel R pentium D 3.2ghz rated at 5.76ghz (2 cpus)

  • its your pentium d its not a very good cpu for this game you need a newer chip. or how much ram do you have, if you have only 1gb or less you will have problems.

  • i got 2 gb ddr2 600mhz i think

  • you should an intel core 2 duo processor and at least 3 gigs of memory, the graphics card isn't the problem ;D

  • ye i gonna upgrade soon

  • I custom made my computer these r the specs:

    Motherboard: EVGA 680i SLI Type

Processor: Intel Duo 2 Core E8400

    RAM: 4 GiG

    GPU's: SLI 8600 GT 1GiG each

HD: 4 Western digital 360 GiG Drives each.....

I ran FSX with over 140 FPS!!!!!

  • 500 .. gaii

  • lol..I bought a dell 8200 it came w/512 MB

of RAM and went from a nVidia Geforce 2 -MX to a e-GeForce 6200 to a current Radeon Sapphire HD 3850 512MB -

GDDR3!!! Soo now I got 1 GB of ram (upgraded) and the new graphics card! Everything is a dream computer, no fancy lights not many fans just 2 2.0 ghz CPU

    Upgrading to a 2.7 soon!

  • I payed $679 for a gateway dx and i must say its probably the wisest choice, heres my specs (i get 20fps with everything set to high even in the most dense cities, Chicago, Philly, New York):

    2.4 ghz quad core q6600

    6gb of ram

    radeon HD 3650 512mb

    intel motherboard

    Vista home premium 64 bit

    Standard Cooling

  • 500$ omg i spent 1200$ on my laptop and i cant even run Flight simulator X with medium before gettng about 15 fps :/

  • That's about how much I spent on my PC, $1,300, but I'm waiting on about $300 dollars worth of parts to come in, new drives, case, and ram.

    2.4 gz Qaud Core

    8gb Corsair memory

    Asus PSQL Pro Motherboard

    Rosewill 600w power supply

    500gb Western Digital hard driver

    9800 GTX 2 Nvidia

+ my sound card, 20inch wide screen, and 5.1 Logitech surround sound system.

More to come, possible water cooling.

  • u fucking kiddin me? holy shit my computer is a piece of crap and i paid almost the same price $1,200 on mine and it cant even play this micro soft flight simulator on low graphics :/

  • lol that is not 300 in parts :P

  • WHAT IS THE COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • FOOS ROCK!

  • Nice make more! :D

  • Microsoft is terrible for releasing FSX. They didn't think of the common consumer and thought of those few who were crazy rich.

  • For a start - Pirate it. Secondly, if you cant aford a gaming pc... Well... I'm 13 and I can.

  • no, YOU cant. your parents can

  • No, I, yes, I am paying for it through money I have earned by WORKING. Yes, working. Paper rounds, and such.

  • bullshit

  • Your scenery setting is on medium high i think. But very nice, you know how to get a lot out of a little!

  • Dude I like Crashed respawned and crashed again during one of your frame freezes. lol

  • WOW

  • I am looking at building a computer. I looked at some parts and I am looking at about 1000$

    Intel Q9650

    9600GT 1gb

    650WPSU

    nForce 750i

  • that psu is over kill. Get around a 500w then buy a better gpu

  • Well the 9800 Requires maybe even the 9600 requires 600W. I was originally going to get a 750.

The funniest thing is the processor is 560$ which is more than everything else added together.

  • really bad investment

  • How?

  • a Q9650?

why dont you get a Q9450 and do a OC on it...

you will save a lot more money and get a decent graphics card...

just because it says that its 1GB it doesnt mean that its good...

and what psu are you talkin about? what brand?

and dont invest in a nforce motherboard... its money on garbage... get a Asus or a gigabyte

  • I want the q9650 and not overclock it because I plan to be on air. I just want to keep it stock and also this will be my first build. 1gig is usually a good g card though. It is a 9600Gt which is pretty good. And the PSU is just some PSU nothing special. I may agree with you on the motherboard but not to sure about it. I am right now at 1680X1050 but plan on getting a bigger screen to handle a higher resolution.

  • ok you got a point on Q9650 (get Q9550)

trust me... 9600GT is not a that great graphic card just because its 1GB

ATI has much more better image quality and does the same or better with the same money

    PSU nothing special?

man a psu its the most important component...

you really need to make a smart investment on aquality psu cuz if theres a electricity pike on a shitty psu... so long pc

    get one of this:

pc power, corsair, be quiet, seasonic or coolmaster.

  • I am rethinking my purchase here. I want to be as cheap as I can get but still be worth the money. I may go with the E8500

  • what do you want the pc for?

    gaming?

and the budget is 1000€ or dollars?

  • dollars. my budget is nothing over 1500 and I am going to try stay under 1200. If I can get it to 1000 that would be nice.

  • Gaming and surfin the web. Basically multimedia.

  • heres what i recomend: CoolerMaster Dominator 690 Black DVDRW Samsung SH-S223F 22x SATA Black bulk PSU Corsair CMPSU 650W TX Series Motherboard Asus Skt775 - P5Q3 Deluxe/Wifi-AP iP45 Pack 2x 2048Mb DDR3 GSkill PC3-10666 (1333) CL9 NQ Processador Intel Core2 Duo E8400 3.0Ghz Sk775 6Mb FSB1333 Box Sapphire ATI Radeon PCI-E HD4870 1Gb GDDR5 its on budget and a very good computer ;) no need to buy a 8500 0.16 mhz of difference... you wont even notice it if you want same frequency OC on it
  • Even though it is .16Ghz not mhz but ghz the processor is better even if it was clocked the same as the 8400. Also, this is my first build and if it ain't the greatest then who gives a fuck because I can always exchange parts and rebuild.

    Sunbeam transformer ATX Full Tower

Asus P5Q3 LGA 775 Intel ATX

    Silverstone ST70F 700W ATX

    Intel Core 2 Duo E8500

    Corsair 4G 2x2Gb 240pin DDR3 1600

    EVGA 9800GTX 1Gb GDDR3 PCI-E 2.0x16

    Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB

    ASUS Black SATA

    all for 1000

  • why getting a 9800GTX 1GB?

    that card competes with hd4850...

how about you save some money on the case and buy a antec twelve hundred?

    get a gtx260 55nm 896 maxcore or a hd4870 1GB

that 9800GTX is a waste of money and competes with a hd4850... that for it self nowadays wont do much

  • Ok you are getting on my fucking nerves. You know why I don't with ATI or AMD because they are shit!!! I have a 3870 not and I Have had the most trouble with it. I am about to go crazy over this fucking card and through it out the window and put in my 7300Le(more realiable) Yes 128mb of vram and less software problems. THIS FUCKING 3870 sucks hard.
