Yes i suppose that Duke and Abacab and even Genesis 1983 and even we cant dance 1991 are not that bad On the other hand Invisible touch, most of Phili Collins solo songs and most of the songs on peter Gabriel's '2' & '3' and 'up' suck.

Amazing nothing to do with modern disco crap like 'susudio' or 'steam' they use moog, mellotron choir, mellotron orchestra, twelve string guitars and organ. The golden era of Genesis began from 1969 and ended abrubtely in 1978.

@MrAugustus88 I would say that era ended in 1980 with Abacab, which in my opinion was their last great album. To be fair, it has to be said that both Genesis and Phil alone had some great moments after that, too.

I thought Duke (1979) was an excellent Genesis album from beginning to end, and I still love it!

I'm a guitarist, but I learned "please don't ask" on the piano, my favorite song from that album,.

actually, I agree with song writing Gabriel i hear ( 73 - 77) I correct myself and put Collins ahead on vocals. Gabriel was more a theatrical actor, (Musical Box). Phil sang better

i dont hear a better voice or  more talent from Peter Gabriel. Actually their voices are so similar... So much more similar than any difference. Is that part of the majic of Genesis?

Speaking of bursting bubbles... it's very likely the "Paris rumor" was merely for tax purposes... the Seconds Out (album) material was more likely from Dallas and/or San Francisco 77. In any case this video's sound IS from Dallas 77 and the soundboard from that show is available for trade and matches this video exactly.

I have the original (bootleg) version of the June 14 1977 from "Palais des Sports" in Paris here taken from audience and its exactly the same.

At the end of the last song on Seconds Out, we hear something in French. I can't remember exactly. I think Phil says "Merci" or it could be some French song playing while the band is walking out the stage.

Thanks for the great clip! After Gabriel and Hackett left, sadly, Genesis went in the crapper. Saw them three times in the 70's (Philadelphia). Fabulous shows! They evolved to a form of music in the 80's and 90's that was barely recognizable.

This Video is from Dallas,TX on March 19 1977 and the sound is dubbed from the Original Seconds Out live album.

The Seconds Out live album is recorded at the "Palais Des Sports" in Paris from the 11,12,13th of June 1977 shows.

Sorry for bursting your bubbles guys.

Used to be able to put videos in stereo but youtube just recently made it impossible to do the "STEREO TRICK". Only the videos that were put in Stereo before the youtube update will remain in stereo.
