  • good work... thanks

  • Thankyou sir.....

  • I'm almost done with CIPT1 lab and will be playing around more with Unity and Unity Connection before my test (March 26). If I find any other ways to do things I'll be sure to let you know.

  • Thankyou so much .....I got the point. ANother question here plz....I am trying to understand how do we integrate Cisco Call Manager with Cisco Unity System. I want to understand from physical cabling and configuration required.

  • Hi Thankyou so much... I really appreciate your efforts for putting up this video. I have couple of queries here (1) Do we need to add subscribers for each extension in the unity so that there will be individual VM box for each extension. How can we do that... is that we do via GUI. How to set the number of rings on extension before it reaches VM incase user is not answering the call.

  • @beautifullugly The easiest way I think is to create your ephone in CME CLI then goto the CUE GUI and under administration is a link for "Synchronize Information". CUE will detect the new phone and from there have a check box to create the voicemail, choose primary extension, even automatically set the CFNA/CFB. However if you want to manually set the number of rings for CFNA, under the ephone-dn add call-forward noan (Voicemail Extension) timeout (seconds)

  • @beautifullugly Well CUCM/Unity you need just machines that can handle VMware. I setup my lab with VMware to run those on seperate boxes. Larger machines you can fun multiple playforms on the same machine. To start, on CUCM, setup MWI on/off. Goto VM tab, message waiting, add new, create extensions for WMI and one for WMI off (Choose proper Partition/CSS).

  • @beautifullugly Setup VM ports by VM port, keep name the same on CUCM as in Unity.Assign device pool, non secure, CCS, then in DNI area, choose DN #, set CCS and display. Then goto call routing and line group, name line groop and algorithm, add lines for voicemail extensions. Give LGN a name, select Algorithn (usually top down), select directory numbers and click "add to like group". Then goto call routing hunt list.

  • @beautifullugly Give it a name, check "for voice mail usage", use the dropdown to select your line group. Then goto call routing, hunt, pilot. So set the VM pilot number, uncheck the provide outside line box. Click Save. Set the voicemail pilot and profile. Pilot allows to assign the pilot TN and CSS; it enables the messages button on your ciso phone. Profile linkks the voicemail pilot for the "checkbox" in the devices screen.

  • @beautifullugly Unity I Have running on Windows 2003. Use the UTIM software under the ciso directory. Click Create Integration icon. Choose SCCP, Names can be anything for cluster and intergration, put in CUCM's IP address. If succesful, choose next, skip backup if you want, then for WMI On/Off extensions, those must match what your crated earlier in CUCM. Unlicensed Unity gives you 2 ports as-is so you can't change that w/out a license. CUCM/CCM Device name prefix must match CUCM.

  • @beautifullugly You can click through the next few screens. Then click finish. After Unity restarts, it will be available to CUCM. Goto Unity System Admin page, click subscribers, click + to add users (exchanage or import), fill out the info, mailbox store, then choose add. Then back in CUCM you can goto the extension assigned to the phone and there are settings to change number of rings and what not on the menu called Call Forward and Call Pickup Settings
