Porsche's engines are just a big lump of engineering perfection but they sound so poor and so empty, the boxer engine sounds absolutely lovely, flat 4 rumble wins hands down against the empty raspy flat 6 & lets not forget the classic sti models had bulletproof hand made engines with forged internals :)

The WRX is better in the corners and is far more practical. Can't see out of the Camaro and the trunk is a cruel joke, the opening is barely two feet wide, where the WRX comes with a gaping hatch to hold all your crap.

And one last thing I wanted to add on, the turbo SS has a great engine too. It is proven to go with boltons and aftermarket turbos to run over 100k without major problems. Americans might've been building crappy cars before but GM finally stepped their game up and hit the nail rite on the head. I still have respect for sti's and evos but all the people that drive them are always dicks.

Also check out some vids here on youtube with the cobalt ss/tc vs sti. They get shitted on. I was originally gonna get the sti but I picked up my balt for 17k brand spankin new. If ur an sti fan ur prolly mad cuz you paid more and in the end all you have is awd that this car doesnt but then again I can get slicks. I would rather drive and sti or an evo anyday don't get me wrong,but performance wise this thing eats up evos and sti's.

a corvette zr1 and z06 are american and hold some of the highest road holding G's for the money, zr1 is 1.09 G's.. The new cobalt SS can handle better than an Evo VIII MR and its just front wheel drive, The cadillac CTS-V holds the fastest lap for a sedan on the nurburgring. Granted these are GM cars not fords.

There's a reason why subaru and it's developers choose this kind of style. They probably change styles every 3-5 yrs. In my opinon the hatchbacks are ncie but this looked more like a wagon. They seemed to be leaning towards streamlines why the pointy front.

Well, in Canada a WRX sedan is offered too, just not an STi.

I think the hatchback would have a better chance to be upright after a roll due to it's shape, it's just rounder. I'd imagine rolling half a sphere vs rolling a brick shaped object. For the half sphere I'd assume the flat part (the wheels) would end up at the bottom more often than not. If it was brick shaped (more like the sedan) it has a more equal chance of being on it's roof.

It's just an assumption though.
