what do you mean a mercedes chassis ? does that mean the front and rear sub frames are from an e230 ?

@ilia93 No,it has all Mercedes platform with Volga body panels.

@idkcars was it very difficult to do ? .. do you think just mounting the front and rear subframe out of a w124 with the engine would be easier ? .. i've got one old volga m21 laying around and i have something similar in mind ...you've done a great job though ;)

@ilia93 Yes,it was a lot of welding.At the beginning we tried to use only subframes but...Volga and Mercedes have different dimensions.Besides you have to do something with power steering,pedals,gear shift,brakes,electrical installation and ect.It is much easier to use whole MB platform and only Volga panels.

ребят шик!))мне нравится!осталось только покрасить в два цвета(мне кажется так круто будет смотреться),занижение(под ресто-стайл) по ходу сделано,либо багажник загружен))диски наверн не совсем в тему,я б другие поставил,но вкусы разные,ровно как и планы на машину.в любом случае удачи в работе и воплощении в жизнь новых проектов!)

Спасибо,очень скоро будет полное видео,от начала работ до их завершения.А начинка (вся платформа) от Мерседеса.Можно сказать,что от Волги только внешность.

@MyzZzbikaHT Оооочень много...Oт Волги осталась только наружная часть порогов,стойки и крыша,все пилилось,варилось,укреплялось + дополнительные хлопоты с "усталым" кузовом.

мы использовали целую платформу от мерседеса.кузов волги опустили ниже так что пороги волги оказались ниже дна мерседеса.при желании можно было бы опустить еще ниже но тогда было бы проблематично менять заднее колесо-арка мешает.

на родной платформе до такого уровня можно опустить только заднию ось. поднять мост выше от ресоры,а перед опустить можно только за счет укорачивания пружин,но до определенного предела.

Спасибо,наша работа закончилась на замене подвески и двигателя от мерседеса.хозяин этой волги заканчивает ее сам,сейчас полным ходом идет подготовка к покраске и работа с салоном.следите за пополнением видео,но уже от самого владельца.

Not bad sound! This is old motor 2.4litres. Around 75 horses power. Not much, but for this that it 1960es made... Its wonderful!!!

Thanks.But actually this Volga has 2,3 l. gas engine,the second one Volga (which will be finished soon) has 2,4 l. diesel.Yes,i agree whith you that engine is not powerfull but the owner of Volga had 2,4l rebuild engine,and he decided to use it engine in his project.Video of the second one Volga (whith diesel engine)coming soon.
