favorite part: 2:41-2:44, When you panned the camera so I could really get a feel of being in the plane, the sky all around not just on a screen in front. Thanks for posting this... I was just looking for the song but liked being up with the clouds.

After viewing this video several times I was trying to figure out how you got the tire shot. In fact, that landing gear is nothing like my Sundowners gear - not even close. Well, after several months I finally read the accompanying comment by you. Now I get it - I just realized that the pictured wheels are from a Cessna, and you didn't have to place the camera outside of the aircraft. I guess I'm just slow, and getting slower as the years go by. Keep posting videos from your beautiful bird.
Great video. I love the music and the shots, especially the little touches like the tire shots. And yes, I was taught to say Airspeed alive. Wonder what others say?
@BeechSundowner This is a GREAT video! Studying for my IFR now and needed a break and a boost! Maybe it's regional. Guys I fly with acknowledge airspeed alive, oil pressure, temp, rotate, climb.
While on the roll, my eyes don't scan fast enough to check instrument indications such as oil pressure and temp.
On climbs I check engine indications. I always checked oil temp. pressure and EGT on climb was to ensure that it's "safe" to leave the airport environment. Better to discover an anomaly there then outside glide path should that have come up.
@BeechSundowner To clarify..gauges are in the green ( quick look) while on roll and then a better look while on climb. Was trained to do one look in the plane one look out. You see AS alive then check runway, gauges green, runway, Vr, Vy, gauges, look for spot to crash if something blows, gauges, all good....go fly!
Gotchya. Makes sense and the more checks the better before wheels go up.
For me, I figure if runup hasn't caught anything and last things I do check after before takeoff is the engine indications before departure.
We have way too many deer near the runway so it's more important to keep eyes outside then checking something outside airspeed that really is checked thoroughly during runup and immediately before take off. This last check before takeoff is in the Sundowner checklist as well.
Saw a comment you left on Jenn's page, you used to live near Mansfield, Ohio. I was born there, lived in Ontario, a little village west of Mansfield. Miss it - the seasons, the snow, BASEMENTS ... LOL
Have a wonderful 4th of July! Would love to see you post a vid of fireworks from the air. =]
Yes, I remember Ontario, between Mansfield and Galion :-)
YES, I miss basements as like in TX, MS they are non existent!!!
I think this fourth, rather then risking getting "shot down" by an errant firework, will video from the ground. Planning to check out the high speed capabilities of my new camera.

Thanks for the kind compliments.
All pilots I have flown with only acknowledge the rotate speed and remain silent on the takeoff roll up until rotate (if they say anything at all)

Ever so brutal as you know, but ever so worth it!

Believe it I still got a CD to this song (NOW2). Maybe I'll listen to this song while I fly lol. Also good driving music too. Great video anyways.

If I get around to making an aviation video of a previous flight , id use this song.

You are sooooo right about the best aviation song.
I have been "holding back" on this song.
Just needed the right videos and pictures to match the words!
