  • i cut down a tree in my yard resently about twice the size cut and split it got about 6 cords from it

  • Im guessing around the 5000 dollar mark?

  • Saw you pulling some poison ivy away (?), you guys ever run into wasp or hornet nests? That is some tree.

  • @EdVidz I did while back.Thank God I wasn't allergic, bc I was covered in hornets. And that night I had a fever of 100 or more. My face was so swallowne that noone recognized me for a while.

  • @djaloshi69 Hope you healed up ok, that's a life-threat situation what happened to you.

  • husky 3120Xp!=D great saw!!!

  • husky 3120Xp!=D

  • im gona join ur tree service, ill rip the shits out of the ground with my bare hands

  • whats the idea of the measuring the with? is there a formula to how long of a chunk you can take off?

  • I am removing a giant willow at my house right now. bigger than this one. Fucking smells like piss when you cut them. Nice video guys, And like your attitude with all the reply's too. keep up the good work.

  • crane cuts are allways tough. try cutting 2/3 of the way through and then pull your saw out and finish the cut on the other side. it help to keep the piece of wood from swining away which could shock load the crane. cranes are meant to handle static loads. other then that good job!

  • I've NEVER seen a willow that big!!! Bark reminded me more of a cottonwood than willow.

  • you should invest in the snapcut, and then move outta the way before you hurt yourself.

  • Great show, thanks for allowing comments! 5 stars again!

  • i was watching you guys at next to millers in west sand lake the other day. that was impressive. nice work

  • Nice work!

  • Later that night, Treebeard and the rest of the Ents mourned their fallen brother and vowed revenge against both Sauromon and all licensed arborists.

  • @starstarstar42 sorry 2 inform ya that treebeard died & there was no more entings as the ents lost entwifes. they were in the forests of buckland but merry n pip'n were 2 dumb 2 realize, so now its open season. i love the smell of 2stroke in the morning. lol

  • The song is nice wath is the name from the song ????

  • Headed For Destruction

    by Jackyl

    From the album:

20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection

  • about 24 pound saw

  • Willows are such junk trees

  • She was pretty rotten at the bottom, nice work. That saw is a monster!

  • Allmark! Nice work. I really like the helmet cam...cool video. I've done a lot of climbing, but refuse to ride the ball, won't do it. Too much room for error, I don't trust equipment enough, as everything is built to break. Keep up the great work! I'm from Ohio, don't hold it against me!

  • Nice sharp chain, cut that tree like butter.

  • What model is that husky saw?

  • 3120xp

  • @allmarktree

    Isn't that a 20 LB saw!

  • Great video, question though. Does a "safety chain" cut slower than a non safety chain?

  • @DirTyOhGee Not to be smart, but if you need to ask stick to a safety chain.

Yes it does as does a chipper chain compared to a chisel chain. Only to name a couple types of chains.

  • @rider660r Thanks for your "smart" answer. I bet you popped out yo moma and knew the difference right? You should stick to roller blades! LOL

  • romanii sunt artisti in materie dew motoferastraie!IN ROMANIAN!!

  • Never seen a willow so huge.

  • plant more trees save the world..

  • some die so they need to be removed

  • and take down the dangerous dead ones.........

  • I would say it's was around $5000??

  • How much did you guys bid on that job? Was it $1000 or more?

  • it was more

  • @allmarktree Did you get to sell the wood or did the people hiring you sell it? Also how much was that worth?

  • @djaloshi69 i would imagine 5000+ easily look at all the equipment the crane alone would cost that.

  • @djaloshi69 He wouldn't have the equipment he has if it was $1000. People are in this business to make money not friends.

  • @djaloshi69 You were paid more than $1,000 to cut down the tree?

    Are you joking?

By the way, I can only imagine how much a tree is worth.

The whole business is so shady.

  • @jimbojamesIV the tree itself was probably worth 500.

  • Very skilled,,,nice job

  • some people may use it for that, i personally have only done a few crane removals we use more rigging. I have done a few and the crane always used a bell n bead choker. the cable was about 2 inches thick. I imagine it could easily skid logs on a winch

The largest I have done is a Coniferous Douglas Fir probably 130 feet tall with a crane.

My largest climb from the ground was a douglas fir in a park, 210 feet tall about 8 feet at the butt. i took a 12 foot top and chunked, fell 120 foot log

  • allmark tree very nice work and nice saws they seemed to be fairly sharp. i found it all to be quite straight forward crane work. i normally cut straight through to push logs off, but when working with cranes i am more use to using snap cuts. I use a bell & bead choker. if you are familiar with bell and bead choke it above your head and climb down. start the snap cut on other side of tree from yourself. come in on your side until they almost meet, climb down and crane can snap the shit safely

  • The ones for skidding logs?

  • @EvenShadier Snap cut is the way to go absolutely...but cutting that much wood with a 3120, it is much easier to only do one cut than wear yourself out doing the two cuts

  • good job i like the crane.i tell my boss about a crane he'll die laughing

  • good job and good equipment It takes me a while to bring a big one down the old way but any job you complete and walk away fro is a good one.

  • good work, couldn't have done it better myself

  • can someone tell me the name of this song?

  • lumberjack by jacklyl

  • was that a 385xp 395xp or 3120xp

  • 3120 xp

  • STIHL MS880 is lighter and more powerfull

  • and has plenty more vibrations to go around!

  • @PERPARSON LOL but stihl is such junk.I never seen one that was worth anything.Jonsered,Husky,Sachs Dolmar to name a couple that are better than stihls.

  • well i guess you know more than i do.....greetings from chainsaw mechanic in Europe... first check the power to weight ratio of 3120xp and ms880 than reply.....sachs dolmar don't exist anymore....its just dolmar or makita only different colors

  • @PERPARSON Still don't make stihl worth anything.I look at dependability over power to weight.

I work on them too,not professionally but I worked on a whole lot of saws. And a Jonsered 2095 can outcut a 3120 with the right tuner and sharpening. If I remember right it's also lighter than either the 3120 or 088.Had my 670 outcutting a 281 both with 2' bars in a 27-28" red oak log,and wasn't all to far behind the 288's.The 281 owners hated me at work. lmao

  • @rider660r you must be smoking crack there buddy !

  • @xst276 I may be and I may not be,I know what it'll do tho....wanna line up your or a buddies 281. Oh wait your prob not even done sucking mommies titty for meals let alone know anything bout what saws are capable of.

  • Comment removed

  • @xst276 Bring on any 044 or 046 you may have, probably borrow, Buckwheat and my 670 even tho it is now going on 16yrs old and will out cut it any day.I'd even put a new saw up for a wager, are you willing? You have to leave mommy at home tho, unless she likes taking her teeth out. lol

BTW why did you erase your post? HAHA

  • @xst276 Heck your only 5hr 20 min away lol I bet you get a lot of saw time in NYC lol

  • @rider660r Long Island Ny And yes alot of saw time everyday we have some monster tree's over here but nothing my stihl's cant handle ;)

  • @xst276 Well when you put in almost 1/2 of your life living in the forest with a tree company contracting for power companies and logging for quite awhile let me know lol

  • fine work!....Economy tree service

  • how much did you charge

  • enough to get the job done safely

  • wreree you guys located? i would like to work for you for a couple of days to just do it. please respond.

    cuttenwolf

  • Albany NY area

  • not too far i live in jersey

  • pussies that shit is bush league

  • kick its butt!!!

  • What happens to the willow wood?

  • It gets dumped in a stump dump.

  • cool video!

  • Im writing this comment to inform all climbers including the one in this video. When craining a tree it is very important to DUCK! Thats right, this guy could have been killed. When the section boke free it lifted and swung. He was very lucky it did not take his head off. To avoid being severely hurt or killed stay under and behind your cut.

  • It lifted and swung away from me. How are you going to stay behind a cut on a 4' diameter piece and reach the other side?

  • Behind as much as possible. you did fine, all i could see in this video was you were standing a litle high(my opinion). Im glad to hear your climbing after your injury. my shoulders kill me when i climb with my STHIL 066. i step or duck down before i finish the cut. Where are you from. Im in Big Bear Ca.

  • what size and model is that crane

  • 12 1/2 ton RO

  • I'm just happy to see two hands on your saw. Granted with the size you'd have to have two hands. Its scary to see how many people are making one handed cuts IN Trees.

FWIW I think Stihls tend to be better balanced when getting up into the larger saws.

  • Hi Andrew, I usually muscle the saw up for overhead cuts, but avoid them in gneneral. Is there a vid that shows the technique you are talking about?? Thanks, Vic.

  • what is the name of the tune

  • At beginning of vid the guy has a hell of a problem getting the saw up to cutting height. Why is he cutting above chest-height, as against current best practice in UK - he'll lose his head soon. Get higher on your spikes mate and learn how to make a step cut when using a crane.

  • The reason for the trouble lifting the saw is due to a recent broken arm. As you can see in the helmet cam shots I rarely cut over my head.

  • OK fair point. Good job by the way...sorry being over critical. You're doing a lot better than the vast majority of arborists. That's a fair sized buttress the crane is lifting. Hope the arm is getting better!

  • Be careful with willows they spring back and can kill you.

  • That was a BIG tree!!!

  • what willow was it? and how tall?

  • what did you charge for that???

  • stihl aint got nothing on the husky

  • I have ran both. Fell timber professionally for 12 years. My stock 088 stihl has more low and high end torque than my 3120 husqvarna. Also have used numerous 066 stihl's, and numerous huskies,(455 rancher, 371, 288, 394), and have always found both brands to be very competetive, although I beleive that stihl invests more time in engineering their chainsaws, especially their "pro" saws.

  • nice job, love that husky!

  • hows was it taking tht 3120XP up in tht tree. mustve been fun. my dad used to work for sum1 who took a stihl 090 up in a tree w a 5ft bar.

  • good god! 090's are ungodly to even fall timber from the ground with. and as for a 660 going against the 3120 i dunno. i run a 42" bar on my 288 and its got more than enough torque but the 660's got the chain speed hands down

  • how big is that 3120...love to go head to head with my Stihl 660 wrap. nice job.

  • Husqvarna 3120-7.3 cu. in.

    Stihl 660-5.6 cu. in.

  • dam thatrs a big blade is it a 30 inch?

  • i got a husqvarna 455 Rancher. but anyway did the 3120 hav a 5 ft bar on it??

  • fantastic

  • dat is sum fukn saw 2 take upa tree lol.

  • Its a 3120

  • I think its a Husqvarna 394.

  • what chainsaw is that?

  • hahahaha numpties: british for idiots. i run a logging opreration for a scotsman. he calls me numpty, i call him a daft wanker. that is a great video. cranes sure make life easier than roping them down by hand

  • looks like 3120.great work! mother nature has to die you damn tree hugging baffoon! look at the dead spot.

  • OMG how sad... the poor poor work of nature killed like that.. thats so sad to watch trees are so pretty..

  • Nice to see people who really know what they are doing , a chang from 80% of the other numpties, great tunes aswell keep posting!

  • wicked willow.they stink like ... well you know.lol.cranes sure make it nice!the hardhat cam is awesome!killer tunes as well.nice tree work josh&mark.

ive been an arborist for 15 yrs.its good to see it done with fun.keep posting!i'll look up for ya'!

  • What model Husky are you running? Crane mode? We do 'em like that here in Mich. all the time. Great job.
