ok, if any1 can set the record str8 its the soundman right? i still have 1 opened and 2 unopened copies of the disc, brutal is putting it lightly. mr. walker is correct with the recording lineup as well as the touring lineup.and lets face it death, black whatever class you wanna put it in is some of the most talented musicians doing what they do best and will nvr be anymore recognized & respected than where its at 2day. in the immortal words of mr. hetfield,"Sad But True"
To set the record straight - I (Tym Walker - guitar w/ ES) Wes LeQuire (ES GTR) and Greg Frye (2 time ES drummer) are now in Rent Veil. Wes just joined Rent Veil less than a month ago and is the bassist.
This recording was Jeff "Geezer" Simms - Vox, Tym Walker - GTR, Wes LeQuire - GTR, Mark Davis - bass and Chad Walls -drums. The tour line-up was Kirk Black -vox, Tym - gtr, Mark - bass and Jeremy Gregg -drums. Daemonicide wqas me & Wes gtrs, Mark -bass, Jeremy -drums and James Lee vocals.
Im pretty shure thats Jeremy Gregg that laid those drum Trax..Ther touring drummer..also a good friend of mine..Also,If that is him on this trak..Then thers a good chance that Freight Train from ORIGIN is doin the Vox On this song..Kirk Had Quit and James was a Temp Just for the Demo....
Hey guys this is Tym from Enter Self. Jeremy was our touring drummer and recorded the Daemonicde demo (Enter Self changed their name to get out of a bad record deal) and James sang only on the Daemonicde demo. Jeff "Geezer" Simms sang on this cd - Kirk Black did the tour on vox. Chad Walls was the drummer on this disc. The CD line-up was Geez on vox, me on lead guitar, Wes LeQuire GTR, Mark Davis bass and Chad drums. Tour was me Jeremy, Mark and Kirk.
The CD is long out of print. I think I have a few left, but I would have to search for 'em. I would post the Slayer cover, but not sure how to do it without video LOL, I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff dude!
Too bad they broke up they had a good sound. The vocalist sounds alot like Karl Sanders of Nile. I wonder if is? I know he had a couple other previous bands
And yeah Tym was in this band Scorpio. I live right around the same woods as these dudes. I know Troy real well. Still one of the best drummers I have ever seen/met.
I also was in this band for 12 years! And until now I never even realized the Morbid Angel similarities! LOL. But Wes is right, the lack of support really tore us down. Expectations of the band were outrageous and without support you can only do so much!
Thanks for posting this bro! Hadn't heard it in a while!
i dont mean to sound like an overly excited fanboy or nothing but..PLEASE BRING THIS SHIT BACK!!! all the good stuff like this dies down and stops, and we're left with shit like bring me the horizon, necrophagist, meshuggah, and despised icon. metal needs better acts, like the old school shit.
Were you really in this band? I finally found a vid by you guys on youtube jus now.I seen a song of yours on music choice's metal channels when they play death metal on mond and thur at 10.I'm missing that show right now! Yeah, U guys should really make a myspace page if you were really in this band! I couldn't find you guys anywhere when I checked!
Hey dude. Yes "wes the wicked" and I were in this band. I formed it in 1991. Could you link the vid you found to this reply? I looked and never found one. You can search google or something I guess. My name is Tym. I am in a band now called Rent Veil which is a Southern Metal - Thrash Christian band. I have thought about a my space page for this band and the band that was spawn for not even a year off of Enter Self which was called Daemonicide.
Oh no, I meant it was this vid as in this song "Erosion". I don't know any other places where I can find videos or songs for Enter Self.Haha, your a christian too? It's kinda hard finding other christians that listen to this kind of music.Yeah, you should make a myspace for Enter Self and Daemonicide.I never even heard of Daemonicide, do they hav any videos I could watch on youtube?
Check Rent Veil on myspace or here. Daemonicide was ES with James Lee of Origin on vocals. We did a 3 song demo and no gigs. I am thinking of starting a page for each band in rememberance. I ahev years of vids for ES just on VHS LOL!
@Trendkiller67 god damn geezer was fucking beastly. every musician that walked in and out of the enter self family was amazing but geez, walker, leQuire, davis, and seals was the best lineup this name ever saw. totally fuckn miss those days.
I was in this band. Had a lot of fun for over 10 years. It's a mess what the death metal record companies will do to a band. No support, nothing. It is all up to the band.
yeah, that really sucks, good music like this fades out, and barely stays alive in the underground, but shit like necrophagist, bring me the horizion, and ion dissonence can sell millions of records.

this bands beats up Necrophagist in terms of songwriting
Necrophagist's Epitaph album is essentially a Muhammed whats-his-face masturbation session

I was also in this band.
No but seriously the opening riff reminds me of the riff to Mandatory Suicide. Still a catchy song though.
