im 49 and was lucky to have grown up with the original as the sound track to my life and i am for ever great full. i joined the Navy and started travelling to the US from 1979 onwards which gave me access to so many great American artists. Also lets not forget and thank Robbie Vincent,Greg Edwards,Chris Hill, Froggy etc for educating us and bringing this great music to the masses. On my return Falklands aged 19 I played the original of this non stop for weeks i don't know why. Thanks Frankie

I'm a TRUE fan too, and in his own way Avant did the song justice. Less is sometimes more, and we all know J&P is where FB&M gets off live! Avant didnt even try to go there which was the right thing to do on this cover. I say good job.

As a "true" MAZE and Frankie Beverly fan this was a horrible cover of a classic song. Avant did kill this song, but not in a good way! It's amateur at best... Those saying that Avant killed this song are either tone deaf or have never heard the real version. I feel sorry for you.
