I believe that it was because the way he sang fucked up his voice... If u see Mile Petrozza is singing very diferent from extreme agression or pleasure to kill.. Before it was almost grutural, now it's unique, but probably only happened because he fucked his voice up while singing like he did in the early days.

Anyway for me Chuck is all about that guitar,no matter how good or bad his voice sound.. Death is actually the only death metal band I love.

I think Chuck and Alexi are different leagues. You can't see Children of Bodom without Alexi, well I can't see death metal without Chuck. Chuck was always pushing further into the unknown the limits of music while Children Bodom's albums sound pretty much the same. Chuck's existence is a gift to death metal.
