Allez voir ma vidéo que j'ai faite pour rendre hommage à ce magnifique film qui est pour moi le meilleur film du monde "Avatar le film/the movie" en 3 parties. Go watch my video that I have made to pay tribute to this magnificent movie which is for me the best movie of the world "Avatar le film/the movie" in 3 part.
I believe we should all realize that nature is in us. We are a part of the Earth, we were created with it. I think as we destroy the Earth we destroy a part of ourselves and we lose insight on what the purpose of nature was. We humans are selfish, and we see only the mistakes others have made, but not the mistakes we ourselves have. If we could start over now, I would be more like the Omaticayan people, and treasure the planet in its full beauty.
@TehAuroraWolf Nature is just a pile of resources, nothing else. The only reason we have of preserving it is to make sure the resources replete themselves. Every living creature is selfish, all wants to be the top dog. Everyone tries to dominate, only to be forced into equilibrium by starvation and disease. Humans are simply one of the very few species to succeed. No culture as a whole have ever viewed nature differently. Those that can't adapt will die, and be replaced. That's how things work.
@Cordar actually only the peopl that would live in a monetary system would have to dwell on nature jsut being a pile of resources because in our society we need to destroy our environment in order to ahve a steady economy and also makes us the selfish beings we are today, but if you take away the need for that and find a means of living in a way that doesnt require that then its absolutely unneccesary, and you were right about the preservation of the resources but its also to help the
@monkeycan45 And yet the monetary system have existed for much longer than our current civilization, and long distance trade have been commited by Humanity for more than 150,000 years. No Human society have existed without an on-going economy in some shape and form. It's nothing that can simply be cast away.
Do you even know what money is? It's a way to let people trade with each other without having to figure out how many turkeys a boat is worth.
And nature IS a "pile of resources". Resources are things that can be used. If you eat something, you're consuming resources. If you wear clothes, you're consuming resources. If you're watching videos on YouTube, you're consuming resources.
Fact is, doing pretty much ANYTHING consumes resources. They're necessary by definition.
@Cordar earth's sustainability, and yes almsot all species of animals are like that but that is because they need to do that in order to survive, but humans are sentient beings and ahve the technology that makes that unnecessary, and actually mand many cultures viewed the earth and nature differently
@monkeycan45 And many beliefs that many cultures had great respect for nature are based on the new age belief which is often filled with lies, basically turning them into theme park versions of themselves. The native americans being the most heavily mutilated example. What people constantly forget is that the only reason those culture did not do much to nature around them was that they lacked the ability and the technology to affect nature to any real degree.
Actually, archeology and paleontology show that the Native Americans hunted many species to extinction prior to European contact, to say nothing of the environmental destruction that resulted from their frequent over-farming.
EVERY creature on the Earth alters an ecosystem into which it's introduced, humans included.
@StellarJetman Quite well aware of that, have tried to hit them environmental fanatics over the head with such pieces of truth over the months without denting their perception of noble savages whom worships and respects nature.
Glad to see that there are still reasonable people around using actual facts.
Technology makes the consumption of natural resources "unnecessary"? Technology is MADE from natural resources, so how does that work? That computer that you're typing on came from a factory, you know. One of those BIG, EVIL, NATURE-RAPING factories that make Mother Earth cry tears of chlorophyll whenever they belch POLLUTION into the virgin environment. How DARE you support that system?!
IF the Na'Vi were Real and Pandora was real I would rather be one of them instead of being a monstrous Human. I am a nature lover I love animals and Trees and Nature.
my thought in the movie was, if this resource is so valuable, eventually they will come back, and in greater numbers, not to mention, if the resource was the fuel of Earth, eventually the governemtns of the world would get involved, and if those blue savages dont comply the govs will just nuke the planet from orbit and mine the scorched surface. so in the end they were screwed from the start, its like the Indians, they never stood a chance once Columbus found the Americas
I can understand in some sense how people got "Avatar Depression" but seriously...Why sulk and sigh over something like Pandora? Yes, it is an amazing fictional world that I, myself would love to see if it did exist. But I think at least one of the reasons why James Carmon made the movie Avatar was to show us as humans a glimpse of our own world, Earth for all its beauty and nature. Why not play your part in saving your own planet? Than maybe one day destroying another?
yeah, i really agree... i got tears in my eyes seing this beautiful world, but then i thought of our world...it's just as beautiful! ...i hope this movie can show many people how crule human beings can be, how insensed war is, and how insensed it is to destroy the most beautiful places on earth like rain forests... i'm happy that this movie is becoming so popular, maybe through it some people start to think.
you are right... i know what you mean.... but most of the people don´t understand, how valuable our world is... especially the politians don´t know, what they do, with the Nuclear power plants and coal power plants!!!
@Zutara1235 that is the point of the movie :) to show what we can do if we continue to be guided purely by profits and greed...that we actually will destroy nature on our planet and continue destroying other worlds and other peoples.
he points out that we have developed into that stage that we must start taking care of eachother and this blue marble we live on :)
only movie that i EVER saw more than once in a theater.. second time i just went by myself so i could experience the world all for me.. lol so selfish
Ohhh, I /wish/ I could have done that... I would have paid any amount to see it in theaters again, and to be alone... SO much better. You can just lose yourself in the story and the world... :]
they need to make a good game of this movie...i played Avatar: The Game and it really wasn't that good. they need a more in depth game where you can really travel around Pandora and BE a Na'vi. When that day comes, i will sh*t myself O.o
@blackhawkX02 haha yeah, and the day that this is released on DVD and Blu-Ray will be like a second Christmas/Hannukah for everyone! I cant wait. Id pay $150 to have it NOW.
if the avatar game mixes story n gameplay similar to hoe uncharted does it than you might have a good game

It's an awesome movie. I love it and I love the world, and I agree that it would be awesome to go there.
But our world is beautiful too. If you know where to look, there's amazing stuff here as well. We just have to protect what's left.
Yes, humans can be cruel monsters. But just look at all the comments here. All the people here that love it and sympathize with the Navi!
Now let's all get out there and save our own planet!
