I played for 40 hours, trained all my pokemon to level 50-60, beat the Elite 4, and beat Gary. Then guess what happens? The game resets (as it should) but my data is not saved. So I'm back to the beginning. After some research, I found out the problem. If you plan on playing after the Elite 4, you must make this change

1) Open VisualBoyAdvance

2) Go to Options>Emulator>Save Type>Flash 128K

3) Start a NEW game

4) Use the In Game save feature (it should work now): Enter>Save

no.....i saved the game on my computer right before i went to battle the elite four.........then i beat them and the credits rolled........then your supposed to turn the game off.....and when you turn it back on you're supposed to be in your house you started off in, but instead i'm where i last saved .....in the elite four , i just tried it for the third time but it didn't work.
