terrible season. when survivor took yet another turn in going south. fortunately Jeff had the sense to know that it was an obvious example of why returning players (especially ones who were friends and knew each other in real life) ruins the game. it's totallly anathema to the game concept. it exchanges the game for real life drama. and vilifies people like Jerri for calling it out.
I dont know why everyone is saying this season was so bad and they hated it, personally this is one of my favorite seasons. It is the season that is most memorable to me over all of the seasons besides Heroes vs Villians. I thought that this was a great season and I really enjoyed it.

a) was a challenge powerhouse. he lead his tribe to numerous wins, as well as winning individual challenges himself. he was safe from being voted out at 90% of the tribal councils because he had immunity nearly every time. there weren't enough opportunities for people to vote him out
b) he formed alliances with everyone. he had people in the game so terrified of going against him that their loyalty to rob prevented them from ever trying to vote him out

After 20 seasons of Survivor, Amber is still one of the worst winners ever, along with Vecepia and Natalie. All she did was ride coattails, look pretty, and rely on luck to get to the end (Even she admits that)! Heck, she couldn't even light a fire with matches!

Oh man Rupert is nice guy and all, but he is not even top 20 when it comes to survivor players. If the game was about doing challenges, providing and friends he would have been up there.
I do agree this survivor was not particularly interesting, but just because it was all one way traffic from the merge on and there was nobody with enough brain to stop Rob and Amber.
Rob should have won... dominated physically, strategically and really played the best game this season and had he won he would be ranked in the top 3 winners probably, or top 5..... unlike Amber who is usually ranked in the bottom 3/5.

How can people say that Amber didn't deserve to win? It never says in the rules of Survivor that to win you have to be a super awesome mastermind who controls the game from day 1, you simply have to get to the end and get the majority of the jury votes. Amber did this, Rob did not. Sure, Rob played a great strategic and physical game but Amber's strategy - whether it was coattail riding, or not - got her the one more vote she needed to win.
Probably the best reunion ever. For one, tooo many bitter Survivors and number 2 Hatch said it best that Survivor is just a game. Even if he ended up in jail. LOL. But this season as a whole was terrible in a way that Mariano was in control the whole time except from the twist when Amber was switched from the other tribe. At the end Lex was a hypocrite and he deserved to be booed by the crowd.
And to add a postnote to my previous one. The proposal thing and all kinda shows a lot about their personalities for me. And it isn't what survivor is to me.

survivor is about many things....surviving mother nature, competing in challenges, strategizing, being social....not 1 thing but many things...u have to be the best at all aspects to win...to say its only about surviving the elements is moronic....if that was the case wed just drop off a group of people w/ no food or water on a remote island for a month and whoever doesnt die wins 1 million......but thats not the game of survivor....get a clue....

I watched season one and it did seem it was all about the ultimate survivor... but they knew throwing a bunch of ego hypered americans together and the snaking and backstabbing would be the heart of the game for the rest of it's time on t.v... it's survivor not best liar... it is all about outlasting the elements, but I could be wrong I mean I am only going off of the name of the show is all. To all who wanna post my comments as bad has either a hard-on for Rob or amber, bottom line

Oh man Rupert is nice guy and all, but he is not even top 20 when it comes to survivor players. If the game was about doing challenges, providing and friends he would have been up there.
I do agree this survivor was not particularly interesting, but just because it was all one way traffic from the merge on and there was nobody with enough brain to stop Rob and Amber.

Rob should have won... dominated physically, strategically and really played the best game this season and had he won he would be ranked in the top 3 winners probably, or top 5..... unlike Amber who is usually ranked in the bottom 3/5.

No that would be you, they spent 39 days on the island, then there is the gap between when the show was filmed to when the first episode was on, then the hole time the season aired on t.v, then he proposed on the reunion show soo it was more then 39 days

How can people say that Amber didn't deserve to win? It never says in the rules of Survivor that to win you have to be a super awesome mastermind who controls the game from day 1, you simply have to get to the end and get the majority of the jury votes. Amber did this, Rob did not. Sure, Rob played a great strategic and physical game but Amber's strategy - whether it was coattail riding, or not - got her the one more vote she needed to win.

Probably the best reunion ever. For one, tooo many bitter Survivors and number 2 Hatch said it best that Survivor is just a game. Even if he ended up in jail. LOL. But this season as a whole was terrible in a way that Mariano was in control the whole time except from the twist when Amber was switched from the other tribe. At the end Lex was a hypocrite and he deserved to be booed by the crowd.
