  • does that hurt?

  • @fckthathoe75 No this is a common thought though. A specific Gonstead Chiropractic adjustment does not hurt because the joint is placed in a neutral position in preparation for the correction and the actual adjustment is very shallow. The key is to make sure the patient is not twisted and that only the dysfunctional components of the misalignment are influenced in the correction. All the best, Dr Ian

  • @themcgowan thanks for that information. I have always held the opposite thought for some time. From a clinical point of view babies definitely appear to stop and focus in that shorter interactive space. Thanks again, Dr. ian

  • Babies are actually born longsighted, they cannot focus up close. Qualified optician.

  • Been around for a while too, and am really impressed with the way you are with your patients and your videos are very well done.

    Keep up the good work.

    ps-Which program are you using?

  • @crackerjack1969 Thank you for your compliment. All the best to you in Practice too. Feel free to use these posts to show patients what you can do for them. We are posting these as a resource for principled Chiropractors and the public. The program I use is AGFA software which is part of the AGFA CR system. If you were referring to the videos, we use iMovie. Best of health and happiness, Dr Ian.

  • I am Chiropractic student in California, your my IDOL! True Hero you are Doctor.

  • @RagnarPirate2 Thank you so much for your kind words. Good luck with your course, you have chosen an amazing profession if you can dedicate yourself to learning it properly. If you have anything that I can help with feel free to post me your questions. Take care and kind regards, Dr Ian.

  • may I ask why did you prefer to use pelvic bench and pull move instead of a gentle push on the knee chest? Obviously you had her so well stabilized and there was no leg movement, but shouldn´t it be easier on the knee chest with a pregnant woman? Thanks!

  • @MartinHeinmets The side lying position was used for demonstration purposes. I am often asked by both patients and practitioners how the pelvic bench can be used in later term pregnancy. Actually, the knee chest for L5 is very technical and quite difficult to master well. For many it is more difficult than side posture. We actually plan another pregnancy video where we adjust the patients 2nd sacral segment on the knee chest. Footage to come, includes knee chest adjustments for L5. All best Ian

  • Thank you for showing how you are managing pregnant women and small babies using gonstead. Really liked the pull move - the speed is incredible and she is so well stabilized. And especially liked the thoracic adjustment which was so gentle - very often people get the impression that gonstead is violent and forceful. Nice work!

  • Great vid yet again :)

  • @dida079 Thanks mate, appreciate your support.
