  • I don't think it will get better for me, for some reason I can't think of myself as gay and a Christian, because I always have these very strong feelings that I'm doing some very wrong, so in order for to be gay I have detach myself from all of my christian beliefs that's the only way that I can love the person that I'm attracted to, and then I still end up feeling horrible about myself, it's a vicious cycle for me.

  • KEEP DOIN WHAT YOUR DOIN, GOD HAS A PLAN MY BROTHER IN CHRIST!

  • AMEN

  • I suppose you've read this now thousands of times, but... thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Every prayer is precious to God; so I guess every thank you is valid too; even if the words used/underlying emotions touched are the same.

So thank you. And may God continue to bless your work.

  • Thanks for sharing that Justin

  • I go to a Nazarene college in Illinois and am also engaged to another guy who goes there. We can't show any second of the day that we are together because we would get kicked out of the college. It's hard but we've made it through. I was just wondering if you could give any tips or if we should just continue pretending like we aren't together in hopes of not getting expelled from the college. I love when we take trips places because we can act like a couple, but those times are scarce. Thanks =]

  • im not a christian, but i used to be a christian and i am gay. i attend church regularly to see friends and to support my dad while he is singing on the worship team.. i soemtimes find comments to me saying that i should be straight or celebate. the youth pastor said that i was just going through some tough times. my mom requested an entire sermon being anti paganism (directed at my branch) and gay specifically. i think this is important for those who pursue the christian faith, keep it up!

  • I love this for so many reasons.

  • AMEN

  • who knew lex luthor's younger brother was a standup guy!

  • Although i am not gay i have my own personal battles- God is The One who will give us Victory in His time over our personal struggles.

God loves us as we are - but He loves us to much to leave us as we are.

Change is always possible with God's help- in HIs time - God is with us and He is working in us Brothers and Sisters. Never give up friends.

Let us pray that God will help us ALL to make any changes that He wants us to for our good and His glory. God is our Helper and our Deliverer.

  • As A Christian myself,I can only show from day to day Gods love, thats the mandate I have from Jesus. Also to love myself as He loves Me .i`m so Glad to see this

"It gets better :channel.Yes I do need to move on to become a better Christian

And the fact that I do need you means ,not to judge.I was born again because of His Love not mine. Thank you,for all you are going to do as " it gets better"

  • Thank you so much for posting this brother!

  • Your truly inspirational <3We really need more open minded loving christians. I've been kicked out of youth groups and bible studies for the fact of my views on homosexuality and i've lost many friends.but if those things hadn't happened,i wouldnt be as happy as i am now and i most likely never would have met the people who are now my greatest friends. its so true,it does get better. :) god bless

  • The youth leader of my old church told me she loved and accepted me just like she loved and accepted the girl who did drugs and got drunk on the weekends. She said she didn't approve of her choices, but she still loved her.

Is this a mentality many Christian people share? To chose personal, decided realities over reason? Because I did not choose to be this way, but every other Christian person I've met tells me yes, I did, despite the bullying, homophobia, and pain, they think I'm choosing this

  • @AspenTheDragon That´s exactly what I fear about: that our brothers and sisters doesn´t really accept us, love us, yes, but disapprove about our sexuality, which they perceive as choice.

  • @AspenTheDragon We are all equally special to God. God loves us all.

God understands our personal struggles- we all have them.

Christians who struggle with being gay are not inferior.

God will help us ..........babysteps..........Nothing is too hard for God.

  • @AspenTheDragon Most people at GCN hate that comparison too. "I love you, just like I'd love any other horrible drug addict or alcoholic!" Really makes you feel loved, doesn't it? Keep being strong and remember that "the church" is not the one church you've been to, nor is it even necessarily the majority. YOU know that you didn't choose to be this way, and maybe you have something to teach the people at your church. Have you seen GCN's video "Through My Eyes?"

  • @GayChristianNetwork The work that you're doing for Gay christians seems very commendable. From some of the testimonies of gay people I have read, they unfortunately had rather less favourable attitudes from the organised Church. This included trying to 'convert' gay people to heterosexuality, as it was considered the only acceptable sexual pairing before God. Others were wholly rejected at the time of the AIDS crisis in the mid 1980's and the Communion Cup 'scare'.

  • That was a great speech and very kind but when does it really get better?

  • have you read "Love is an Orientation" by Andrew Marin, or have you heard of the Marin Foundation? I'm reading it right now and it is phenomenal!

  • Wonderful message. This is so needed as many gays feel rejected by the Church. This video will help gays who are struggling with their faith to know that not because mainstream church pushes you aside that doesn't mean God hates you. They don't speak for God, God speaks for Himself and He said when the world forsakes you, He will lift you up. SO do seek help because there are people out there who understand, and your life and talent are too precious to give up on.

  • why can't folks from your Organization come to George Fox University X (
