When your people come to live to our countries, they can live "free lives". Worship as they please. When our people come to your countries, they even cant bring their bibles with them. In principle this is about an ancient, medieval system against modernism. We see this even in this particular example. Those people lived good "western lives" (much better ones than vast majority of their ancestors did) yet became radicalized and decided to turn against us. Those "radicalizers" are people trained in a specific trade of demagogy trying to pull feeble minds on their side. Attempting a "Muhammadan revival". We cant allow this.
Don't get me wrong; My last comment is only a down to earth comment. We have to face the facts: We are rich and they are poor. Is it our fault? No. Puting all the blame on ancient Imperial Nations is too easy. Some cultures seem to be unable to forget the past and the wrongs done to them and , even after decades, want revange. This is an Arab trait of personnality, therefore a Muslim one. Christianity and it's notions of compassion and forgiveness are a sign of weakness to them.

I thougt that from 9/11 on, we were at war with Islamic extremists...I went to Afghanistan, willing to give my life for the cause of anti-terrorism...But today, I see the obvious: This is not a war like WWII as it was depicted. Good against evil, like any best selling novel. This is a war is about poor, uneducated people, still living in the dark ages; and rich, spoiled, living with 85% of this planet's richness, and throwing half of it away, when millions are starving to death.
You are aware of the fact that once these nations/their ancestors were rich according to ancient standards. Rich in knowledge, rich materially, too. Its not like we built our "Western prosperity" on their exploitation. We built our prosperity on their knowledge and the further development of it. In the 19th century that rift became so broad that it allowed for some temporal, partial colonization, even exploitation of their lands. This approach became very unpopular after WW2.

I thank ''god'' for being a fortunate one to be born in Canada...I just feel that most people don't realize the misery in this world.
