I love the video this shows why parks are not affordable permit limits spend millions on rescues every year. I cant afford a park pass permit for everyone I think I will take my six kids and cub scout troop there next weekend for a day hike should I get them gloves, permits optional? I do like this video but it does promote the rest of the idiots, give us some room for our kids next weekend adventure. I've hiked half dome been to the top, let me tell you its steeper than it looks. Please do not EVER follow this guys lead. I also recommend if you don't have dont take your kids up there. There are plenty of other things for kids to do.
See what happens when you hang out outside of the cables? Kids go unsecured and ALSO go outside of the cables at :15. Tourists die every year from that crap. Those kids might as well be unsupervised with how little proper attention is paid to them. Just because they're old enough to know heights are dangerous doesn't mean they truly understand the risks of going off cable.

@bajaexcursions This would be very easy to climb without cables. It is not that big of a deal, unless your shoes are slippery and worn out. Just hold onto the cables if you have 0 climbing experience. I feel like they are going to put an escalator with all the worried people these days.
i have to agree with Mgirl416. Seems so easy just to step a few feet away from the cables - no harm, right?... then 1 tiny slip from a slight bit of loose surface material, and you're done. No recovery. Its very foolish.
OMG The kids are climbing with safety harnesses and doing something outdoors with their parents and not at home doing it on a wii fit board- so terrible! Now that creepy ass stairway at Morrow Rock really freaks me out
He's not nutz...I've been there (have a look)....I did it w/o biners like most others...I stayed in the cables. It's pretty mellow where he's shooting from. But I think I'd strap in next time. The scariest part was muscle spasms in my thighs. But with kids....strap in....those kids are stoked.

You'll need a permit for July 11 since its on a Sunday. (Mon-Thurs no permit needed)
