  • how good is that, why 2 dislikes i mean whats the point???? get a life!!!!

  • A great version!!! The more I hear them lately, the more I realize just how talented and significant they are. Back in the day it was pool side music while I life guarded. Today it brings back memories and introspection. What a fantastic band.

  • top shelf Squeeze!

  • My fave band. =]

  • just brillient.!! always loved this song now time to learn it ..

  • Ha what can you say , just great.

  • Difford and Tillbrook may have been the premier song writing team of that time.

  • This is way it is, GOOD Interview Raw is good

  • 2 guitars and one great voice are enough for a really great song!

  • I was introduced to this song by an older mate that helped through the leaving school - working man drinking transition of life. He also pushed me towards the seahorses blinded by the sun, Shed Seven chasing rainbows, the libertines cant stand me now and oasis dont go away. This ones for you mate.

  • Watch and learn people................

  • still brilliant 30 years later. and now an acoustic gem.

  • my mum introduced me to these fantastic.x

  • What pair of tits disliked this???

  • Timeless! Pure class

  • Beautifully amazing song.

  • sounds good considering how much hes aged, better voice than half the classic rock stars today

  • This song is awesome, probably because of the simple beat and rymes

  • this is what you call song writing. X FACTOR SHOW RESPECT

  • Fat faced bastards. Good song though.

    But really fat faces...

    I mean REALLY fat.

    x

  • Also "Boots of Spanish Leather" by Bob Dylan

  • Also Stay Free by The Clash.

  • 2 other songs that say the title at the end of the song is REM's Supernatural Superserious, and Billy Bragg's Greetings to the New Brunette.

  • I can't help but sing

I got a job with Stanley, he was so strong and manly...

that's what listening to Ivor Biggun does for you.

  • trivia time !!! Up the Junction and Virginia plain by Roxy music are the only two songs i know that the title of the song is sung only once in the song as the final words !! unless you know better !!

  • @bazzerman1954 Just spent ages looking for this post!!!!!!! I realised when listening a few weeks ago that Virginia Plane also ends with the title of the song...and I now see that you knew that all along!

  • Love it! Such a great poppy, but easy-going song.

  • Interesting, this is filmed twice.

Look at the position of the microphone, sometimes close to his mouth, other times further away, it switches as they cut between camera shots.

  • wow- u r right -what a great observation.

  • Oh so beautiful.....

  • Is it just me or does Chris seem really distant, with a look that says "it was always Chris"

  • Brilliant!

  • That was GREAT! I love that song, and they both have aged well. Still handsome

  • "He started me on Monday so I had a bath on Sunday" pure pure CLASS!

  • have the clip of take me im yours of the same programme that was excellent as well

  • so damn good!

  • Awesome version. I remember around 84 when Tillbrook and Difford toured togther. People were comparing them to the next Lennon and McCartney. I think that is a big reason why they did not hit it big. People were expecting too much from them which is unfair.

  • Sublime, a Classic for all time.

  • Wow, Nice acoustic version.

And Glenn still sounds great as well.

  • just found this! excellent version......

  • says so much about their songwriting that it still sounds fresh and new today. Amazing song; amazing writers
